"You did the right thing," she agreed with a little nod. "It was me that was in the wrong." She didn't mind admitting she was wrong this time; she shouldn't have played with his emotions so soon after all this upheaval, but she really was glad she's seen his reaction. The Damon that had kidnapped her and gotten so angry when she'd talked back or tried to run would never have acted so calmly. He clearly really was trying to change. She just hoped, if this really did turn into something between them, he wouldn't sit back or just walk away if someone was chatting her up for real. If he wasn't protective of her, what was the point. He was a dangerous person, and she wanted that to be used to her advantage, if at all.
"No, not busy," she said, smiling. "But I need to check on P.Sawyer soon. She'll be lonely at home alone." She paused, biting her lip for a moment. "I'd ask you over, but... I don't think Elena wants you in the apartment." Elena had been worried Brooke had accidentally invited Damon into the apartment while she'd been compelled, but she never had, as far as she knew. "Maybe P.Sawyer and I could come to yours to watch a movie?"
