Katherine had promised the human versions of Stefan and Damon that she would play no more games. She'd asked Damon for a chance for her to try to love only him. He'd told her he would think about it. That hurt, but not as much as it hurt for her to find out that he was seeing another Katherine behind her back. She had been honest with him and he had seen fit to lie. Now, she was determined to go back on everything. If Damon could play games, she could as well.
She'd already agreed to meet with the new Stefan, that was what she had been talking to Damon about when he told her about the other Katherine, but she had intended to talk to him. Now, in light of other things... well, she had no guarantees. She wasn't going to be playing by anyone's rules anymore, but her own. She'd tried playing it their way and gotten burned. No more.
After drying her eyes--because, yes, the betrayal had caused pain--she straightened her skirts and made her way out to the sitting room of the apartment that she conveniently shared with this Stefan. He was already there, waiting for her. She hadn't been sure what to expect. He was from her future, but she didn't know how far into the future. Not too far, she imagined. He had made it sound like her 'death' was recent. He really didn't look at that different upon seeing him, though she could tell he wasn't human. She'd already known that.
She walked over to the chair he was sitting in and offered her hand while giving a curtsy. "It's a pleasure to see you again, my Silent Stefan."
