"I would love to," Katherine replied, grinning. She couldn't envisage herself actually playing with the dog, but if it meant time with Damon - a Damon that didn't hate her - she would jump at the offer. She glanced down at his large warm hand covering hers before she shifted slightly, entwining their fingers together. If they'd still been back in 1864, walking together, this whole situation would have been completely inappropriate, but they weren't and they were alone and they'd never really cared that much anyway. They'd always done what felt right - her probably a little too much where Stefan was concerned - and this felt right, feeling his warm fingers between her own cool ones.
