Katherine's smile brightened as she slipped her arm back through his. "Good, I'm glad we're agreed on that," she said, once again leaning her cheek against his shoulder as she began walking again, tugging him with her. "I don't like it when my dashing Damon is sad." She lifted her free hand to rest on top of his arm, gently stroking him absentmindedly through the blue material. She missed this, being able to talk and laugh with her Damon, and she did so love his smile.
"How long have you been here?" she asked, glancing up at him. She supposed it didn't make a lot of difference - what mattered is where he came from - but she wanted to make up for lost time and talk to him the way they used to. She wouldn't mind doing other things the way they used to either, but that could wait.
