He thanked her and sat in the chair across from her. "I am much more than pleased, Anne," he told her. He leaned forward automatically, wishing to be closer to her. The bare skin on her neck and chest was so pretty. That gown was indeed marvelous. It made him want to get her out of it and take her, right here and now. He had already waited for what seemed like ages, to finally have her, and now he had to wait longer?
He was glad for the distraction when she asked him a question and answered readily. "That is very perceptive of you, Anne." Henry stood again, unable to contain his excitement now that she had asked about it. "Sweetheart," he said, moving forward and clasping her hand in both of his. He was unable to contain his affection for her. "You are looking at the Supreme Governor of the Church of England. I have broken with the Roman Catholic church to get my divorce from Catherine."
Henry watched her face, gauging her reaction. "You will be my Queen."
