WHO: Elena & Damon inhisblueeyes WHAT: Elena finds a bit of comfort in the man she's been talking to online. They click. WHERE: A club WHEN: The night of the 15th RATING: tbd STATUS: in progress!
She didn't know what to expect of this, Damon letting her go out with practically no strings attached and her vervain pendant hanging around her neck just to try and cover up what he had been doing to her lately. It was ridiculous, but Elena had no choice but to go with it, to try and play along and hope people would see--well, no. Actually she hoped everyone would see right through the act and save her from the monster that was keeping her captive. It was true, there was a few times where she could see something good in Damon, when she had actually halfway enjoyed the sex...but then he would behave like a jackass again and all of that would disappear. Well, thank god she could get away from him for at least the night, have drinks with a few people and talk with someone.
Secretly she hoped Damon--the one she had been talking to, the kind one--would magically show up, being there just to sweep her off her feet and save her from her pain, but she didn't want to get her hopes up. Still, Elena dressed nicely in a classic little black dress that showed off her beautiful figure just enough. She felt comfortable in it and that was the important part. When she arrived at the club, she was let in immediately and she headed inside, looking around the place with a bit of a lost expression, surrounded by so many people who were enjoying the night life. It wasn't packed, but there was still a crowd for her to get lost in. She managed to make it to the bar after a moment and took a seat, biting into her bottom lip and wondering just where everyone she was supposed to meet had gone. Maybe she was just missing them and they were out dancing? ...Maybe Damon had been lying to her. The girl sighed and turned to the bartender, simply requesting an iced tea with lemon since she couldn't get anything alcoholic.
While she sat there, she couldn't help but dream again that something good would come of this. That her life would turn around. At least a bit.
