Truth be told, because she was shopping she wasn't moving all that fast through the crowd. One needed time to look over the clothes in the window before decided that you wanted to step into the store, after all. And shopping helped to keep her mind fairly clear, a distraction from her Chuck based thoughts.
Her head came up at her name though, more recognizing the cadence of the voice that said it. She'd know his voice anywhere, partially because she'd grown up with him, though the whispered part was a little weird. He was missing the usual Chuck Bass confidence in it. She turned and blinked a little with a small smile, suddenly really unsure because of their last interaction. "Hey Chuck," her voice was soft as she shifted a strand of hair behind her ear to keep from doing any other nervous action.
