Faye hated this place. While there were people she knew here, they weren't really the type of people she liked to associate with. Adam Conant was one of the nicer members of the Club, which immediately categorized him as a loser in Faye's mind. That and he was all kinds of devoted to her cousin. It made her sick. Faye never devoted herself to anyone. Why bother? They were young, it was the prime time to play around, and with powers like they had, they could have anyone they wanted. Why should they tie themselves down now? And there was the new girl, Faye couldn't be bothered to remember her name. All she knew was that the new girl couldn't mind her own business and that she had some crush on some guy, she lived in Crowhaven road (which made her a part witch) and she wrote her poem about fire. Fire was Faye's thing. She didn't like people stealing her thing.
That didn't so much matter tonight, though. She'd seen some girl post something about a beach party. That at least had promise. Especially if hot guys would be there. She wore in a skimpy red and black bikini with a pair of short cutoff shorts. Most of the party, she had been mingling and drinking. Now as it was dark out, they had the bonfire going, Faye stood and watched from a distance, periodically controlling the fire to make shapes without making it too obvious who was doing it. She couldn't help it. She loved fire.
At the moment, she was watching the fire with a drink in her hand and contemplating her next move. Playing with fire could be fun, but it wasn't her only activity. She enjoyed playing with boys too. As she thought about which boy to turn the charm on with, she effortlessly made the fire slowly shrink before letting it burst back to full size.
