With his hands in her hair, Hermione couldn't help but lose herself in the kiss. She threaded her fingers through the hair at the nape of his neck, pressing her body closer to his. This was the closest she had ever been with a boy, but that didn't even matter right now. She liked the feeling of his hand in her hair, his lips on hers. It was the first time she ever found herself wanting someone to touch her beyond the mere friendly affection she'd always had.
Draco pulled away and Hermione was left breathless. He pressed kisses along her jawline and Hermione couldn't help the audible, pleased sigh that slipped out. She was surprised at how disappointed she was when he pulled away again, but she watched his face. She blushed deeply at his question and then his explanation. Hermione shook her head and gave a nervous laugh, "I know what you mean," she said with a smile, "And I think you're on the right path so far," she commented with a slightly flirty tone, even though she blushed more with the words. "You've already made this day so much better than I thought it could've been."
