Draco's smile widened at her reply about Wulfric. "I'm glad you do. And I'm sure Spook will come around. He's just being shy." He raised his arm on the couch so that it was about Hermione's shoulders. That seemed like the appropriate thing for a boyfriend to do... if he was indeed her boyfriend now. "It was nice of her, wasn't it? Honestly, it really was a surprise for me, but it was great. I had a good time." Draco grinned despite the faint blush that appeared on his cheeks at the thought of how wasted he had been. "Yeah, I don't remember much of what happened after I got into the liquor. Hangover wasn't too dreadful, so I guess she did a good job of caring for me." Draco omitted the parts Pansy had told him about him going swimming and trying to bury his shirt; he didn't want Hermione worrying.
"Er, so how have your past few days been?" Draco was trying to ease into the question he wanted to ask. It seemed like the most sensible thing to do. "I wish I could have made the party more enjoyable for you," he admitted. He truly had felt bad at the thought of Hermione being ignored and leaving early.
