"I really love him," Hermione said. Having the kitten around was great, he helped chip away at the loneliness she felt when she was by herself. She felt a pang, wishing Harry could see how nice and thoughtful Draco really was.
He gave her hand a squeeze and she returned it with one of her own. It was comforting to know that he could make her feel so much better just by spending time with her. "Spook? That's adorable. Maybe when he's more comfortable, I could meet him," she said. Draco spoke of Pansy, mentioning they were just friends and she smiled again. "That's good," she said and wondered if he had told her about, she doubted it, if they were getting on well, but she supposed she couldn't blame him in keeping it to himself. "I'm glad you two are getting along. It was nice of her to set up that party for your birthday," Hermione commented. "And apparently to take care of you when you got sloshed," she added with a playful smile.
