Jenna watched him step forward. It was only one step, so she wasn't entirely sure what it meant. That made her nervous. But then maybe she shouldn't be over-thinking it. She just told him that she was a vampire, did she really expect him to come running into her arms? He would know that she was a new vampire, maybe he just wanted to make sure she had control of herself before getting too close.
"Am I?" she asked him. "I honestly can't say that I know all that much about vampires." She only knew what Elena told her after the vampire in Alaric's body had attacked her. "I'm still learning about all of this," she admitted. "But I... don't want to do this alone."
She didn't know if asking for his support was too much or not. But if she didn't have her boyfriend, who would she have? One of the Stefans had told her it was important to hold on to her humanity, and that he would be a good way to do that. But it was ultimately his choice. If he couldn't deal with it, there wasn't much she could do.
