Jenna wasn't sure what the best way to do this was. Slow and let him process it? Or just rip off the band-aid. She had a feeling the latter would be easier on her. It would give her less time to think about it and get scared. But would it be worse for him?
"Okay, so I still don't know what was going on at home," Jenna began. "One of the Elenas here mentioned something about a sacrifice, and of course there was the vampire that used your body." She paused for a moment, trying to figure out where she was going with this. "The night I came here, I got a call from Elena, she said it was an emergency. I found out only after coming here that it wasn't Elena. When I left the house, a man grabbed me from behind. He forced me to drink his blood and then when I woke up, I couldn't remember what happened next."
She wasn't entirely sure if he was catching on to what she was saying. Stefan had figured it out, but he was a vampire. "I wasn't awake at home long before coming here, but I was there long enough for a girl to make me drink her blood." She drew in a deep breath. "Ric... I'm a vampire."
There. It was out. Her eyes studied him nervously, searching for any sign of a reaction. Acceptance, rejection. Anything.
