After sending Alaric the text asking him to come over, Jenna began pacing her room. She was nervous about telling him what had happened to her, but she knew that she had to. Stefan had told her it was best not to push him away, and by avoiding him, that was exactly what she would be doing. But would he accept that? Then again, he had known about this world a lot longer than she had. Maybe he would. She couldn't be sure. That made her nervous. She didn't want to lose him for something she had no control over. She hadn't even known for sure what had happened until one of the Stefans told her what was happening. Even now, she was still adjusting to it.
When she heard the knock at the door, she jumped. The sound was a lot louder than she was used to it being. All sounds were louder. She supposed that had it's up sides, but right now it freaked her the hell out. All of this did.
She walked toward the door and pulled it open, seeing Alaric on the other side. "Hey," she said, giving him a nervous smile. "Come on in." She'd fed well before he came over--another suggestion that Stefan and Damon had given her--but that didn't stop her from being afraid of what she might do to him. As it was, she was always hungry. Sometimes were just worse than others
She moved from the door to get some distance between Alaric and herself. "Keep your distance at least until I say what I have to say," she told him. "Then you can come closer." She kept off the 'if you want' part. If he wanted to come closer after she told him what she was, then at least he wouldn't be caught by surprise if she lost control. Stefan and Damon both told her that he could handle himself around vampires, she only hoped they were right.
