"I was afraid that maybe it wasn't enough," Katherine replied as she felt his hand along her back. It felt nice. Comforting. She leaned her head on his shoulder and nuzzled her face up close to his neck. It was nice to just be there like that with him.
"I'm glad," she replied. "Because this time, I don't plan on playing anyone." She had learned her lesson, though it might have been more recently--around the time she returned to Mystic Falls. Seeing how much Stefan hated her was what had set it off. She had never wanted him to hate her. Damon, she didn't so much care about at the time. But Stefan...
