Stefan laughed softly, running a hand through her soft, dark hair as she watched her. It always amazed him, how someone so old and strong and powerful could get embarrassed when someone called them beautiful. It wasn't like he didn't say it often enough. He loved telling her how beautiful she was whenever he got the chance. He wasn't like the rest of the boys at school, calling their girlfriends sexy and being obsessed with assses and boobs - he appreciated how beautiful Elena was, both outside and in. She was magical and wonderful and captivating. He hadn't stood a chance from the moment she had walked into school on that first day of term.
"Well, you walked up to me and said 'Which way is the history classroom?' and I said 'hiaphm', or something that sounded very similar, and then you smiled at me and BAM, I fell in love." He grinned as he spoke, wrapping his arms back around her as he spoke. He loved the intensity of her gaze and the feel of her hands on his chest and every little thing about her that made her her. It really had been that simple, falling in love with her. They'd been through a load of trouble since, including his vampire hating parents and her lapdog, otherwise known as Damon, but no matter what life threw at them, he knew he could never stop loving her.
"We going to stand out here all night?" he asked, raising one eyebrow as he glanced around at the street flanked by the two apartment buildings. "I'm supposed to be in building 2, apartment 404..." He looked at her hopefully. "Please say you're in apartment 403?"
