It felt so unbelievably good to be kissing him again, almost dreamlike in the fact that her boyfriend really was standing right here in front of her, moving his lips against her own. She couldn't hold back her hum of delight, running her fingers up through his short hair, the soft strands slipping across her skin like silk. She just couldn't stop touching him for fear she might lose him again...and Elena honestly didn't know if she could handle that. She was already the odd one out of the group...but now she could be odd with the man she loved.
When Stefan picked her up and swirled her around, she laughed loudly, basking in the movement. She would never not love when he did that, making her feel like she was just a small human, and not a 200 year old vampire. He made her feel normal...and then he went and said things like that and she couldn't hold back her expression of slight embarrassment, biting into her bottom lip. "Mr. Salvatore, you could make a woman blush saying things like that..." She glanced down at the ground for a few seconds, then looked back up, staring at Stefan from beneath her long, dark lashes. "How did I get so lucky again?"
