Stefan thought about it for a moment before giving a little shrug. He knew he definitely didn't like the thought of loads of other Stefans scamming on his girlfriend, but he trusted Elena completely.
He met her gaze for a moment, getting lost in her dark brown eyes, before her lips were on his. Out of habit, he wrapped his arms tight around her waist, pulling her small body against him as he returned all the feelings that were pouring out of her in that kiss. For him, he had only kissed her that morning, but for her... he hated to think of going even a day without kissing Elena. It must have been hell for her to be stuck here. "I love you too," he said, a grin spreading across his face at her words. He would never tired of hearing her say that. He still didn't understand how a creature as beautiful and worldly as her could fall in love with someone like him, an unlikely and reluctant jock with a passion for old books and architecture.
"God, I love you, Elena," he said, laughing as he picked her up and spun her around in a full circle. Placing her back down, he gave her a little squeeze before pulling back slightly so he could look down into her eyes, lifting his hand to cup her smooth cheek. "And, like I was trying to say before I was so rudely interrupted, Care can't even compete with how beautiful you are. I'd rather have been beside you in the crowd than up there with her any day."
