Elena didn't mind at all. In fact, that this Stefan knew her so well--or thought he did--made her feel a little more comfortable. She wasn't hanging out with a complete stranger, not that Stefan could ever be a complete stranger to her, she was hanging out with someone familiar.
Elena let out a little laugh at his comment. Little did he know how well she could handle just being friends with him. While, yes, she did love Stefan, it had turned into more of a sisterly love than what she thought she felt before. She wanted to be there for him and to help him in any way she could, but she was no longer in love with him. Still, even if this wasn't her Stefan, she couldn't tell him that because of who her real feelings were for. "Well I'm having fun now," she told him honestly.
