Stefan returned her smile, glad she didn't seem to mind him being presumptuous and ordering for her. This was an Elena he knew, from a world like his. Maybe even the same world, just in a different timeline. According to what he'd seen in the mirror, his Elena was from a different world to him, but there was nothing he could do. He was in love with her, maybe more than ever, no matter that she was a vampire now.
"That's understandable," Stefan said, giving a little shrug. He hadn't really been bored - Elena had kept him occupied in one way or another - but he could understand how being stuck here could get old after a while. The waitress came back over then with two sweating beers which she placed down in front of them. Stefan pulled out his wallet and payed for the drink and their food, adding a little extra for the waitress. She gave him a warm smile before heading off towards the bar again. Stefan picked up his beer and took a long sip of the cool liquid before placing it back down and smiling at Elena. "Well I hope I'm enough fun for you," he said, tilting his head slightly. "Even just as friends."
