Elena bit down on her lip gently when Stefan commented on the person she was talking to. It was someone very interesting, who happened to be teasing her a lot. Enough to make her want to rush through this outing with Stefan to get back home to Katherine, but she wasn't going to do that. She was the one who had wanted to go out and do something, and she would stick to it. Katherine would be there when she got back. "It's just a friend," she replied. Once again, she was lying to Stefan. But at least this time she wasn't cheating on him.
She gave him a smile and put her phone away. Katherine's comment about playing with herself lingering in Elena's mind. The woman definitely knew how to tease. It drove Elena crazy. "Well, she's not really me, either," Elena replied. "If she was around in 1864, she was born way before that." She shrugged. "So if you're the doppelganger, does that mean the curse is still there and you're the one to break it?" She really didn't want to think of a Klaus coming here to kill Stefan. Not that it would work for any of the Stefans here, or even her Stefan if he came. But if the human Stefan that Elena knew turned up, that could be problematic.
