Stefan sighed happily as he pulled her tightly into him, glad that at least this Elena was happy. There were so many that didn't seem happy and he wished he could help them all, but there wasn't much he could do save giving them advice and friendship.
After a moment, Stefan pulled back and smiled down at her, giving a little nod. "I'm great, Elena," he said, the happy expression on his face showing the truth in his statement. There were definitely things wrong with this place and he knew there were people here who could make all their lives very difficult but, for the most part, he and Elena were very happy.
Stefan nodded along the street, a non-verbal invitation to start walking. He led the way, walking slowly, stuffing his hands into the pockets of his jeans. "How are you settling in?" he asked as he walked, glancing down at her.
