Hermione was surprised when he laughed. Not that she hadn't heard him laugh before, but it wasn't at her and it wasn't malicious like all the times from school. For a moment, she thought this place might be good for him, as terrible as it was to be away from their own time and their own homes and friends. Maybe it would make him a better person. He could use that, after all. With a name like Malfoy and everything attached to it... It would be nice to see him do better.
"Well, that's good to know," she chimed, impressed he didn't seem keen on attaching any threats or disclaimers to their conversation. Surprise registered again when he actually offered for her to come back and Hermione found herself nodding without even thinking about it. The affirming gesture received delayed words, however, when she realized she hadn't thought it through. But nevertheless, Hermione took in a breath, "Of course. I'd like that," she spoke honestly. "This was nice," she admitted, only to hastily add on, "And informative," because she couldn't help the pink that began to creep up her cheeks.
