"Yes," Hermione nodded. "You could make a Horcrux out of anything, the locket was one of the things Voldemort chose," she explained further, "Regulus Black took it from Voldemort when he chose to defect from the Death Eaters," she added on, if only to provide the point that a member of Draco's family had stood up to the Dark Lord. She just shrugged to his explanation for Bellatrix, "Maybe someone did take something from her," she mused, "Must have been something important. Maybe she knew about the Horcruxes." She was aware some version of Bellatrix was here, but Hermione hadn't figured out exactly which one - she hoped it wasn't the one from the same time line Draco was telling her about.
"Neville? Really?" Hermione asked, surprised. "That's brilliant," she said happily, unable to help the feeling of pride that swelled in her chest at the idea that Neville had stood up and fought against those who had taken his parents from him. "An Auror? That's wonderful," Hermione couldn't believe it. It was good to know that her friends were all well after the war and moving on with their lives. When Draco offered to tell her what he knew, she nodded eagerly, "Yea, please." The more she knew, the better. Especially if she wanted to find clues to how and when she could get back to her own time and her own world.
When Draco told her that Bellatrix had tried to kill Ginny, Hermione gasped again, a hand coming up to cover her mouth. She shook her head and was about to express her relief that Bellatrix had been stopped, but Hermione held back. Draco's reference to her as his 'Aunt Bella' struck her... as vile as that woman had been, it was odd to hear the boy in front of her use such a familiar title. She hesitated as she lowered her hand back to her lap. "I- I'm sorry you lost your aunt," she offered up, because she realized it must be hard to sit with her - a mudblood - and explain how his family and the people he knew had suffered and died at the hands of the people Hermione knew and cared about.
