"I wondered what happened to it," Hermione mused aloud, "I... we must have destroyed it!" she came to the conclusion a bit excitedly. She didn't bother wondering about how Ron ended up with her and Harry again... she was still too angry and confused to deal with thinking about him. She shook her hand and then pushed a hand through her thick hair, a thoughtful expression on her face. "We haven't even been to Gringott's, much less been into anything in Bellatrix's vault," Hermione told him honestly. That was interesting news and something she would have to remember... maybe if her Harry ever showed up, he would know more about that.
She shot Draco an odd look to his... what she assumed was an attempt to be reassuring. "At least we all escaped unharmed, yeah? Even Luna and the goblin?" she asked, a bit hesitantly, as she didn't want to hear that either had been killed or left behind. She wanted to ask more about the battle, but wasn't sure if she needed to continue pressing her luck. After a beat, she took in a breath, "Do you know anything else? About the... battle? What about Neville? Or the Order of the Phoenix?" she couldn't bring herself to mention Fred or George or even the Weasleys at all. The last thing Hermione wanted to do was truly cry in front of Draco.
"And I was there? The whole time?" It didn't make sense, if she was here when any of it happened. She must have been missing at some point, right?
