Who: Edward Cullen (~eamcullen) & Bella Cullen (~inhergoldeneyes) What: Spending time together When: Monday evening Where: Their room
Edward was glad the Bella from his time and place was here. He loved her, and would have given her up to make her happy. But she had been adamant that he made her so. Even without a soul. So he had agreed to spend eternity with her... on one condition. They get married. Oh, that had been a struggle, to get her to walk down the aisle. But Alice did a marvelous job, and then they were of to Isle Esme for the honeymoon. And what a honeymoon that had turned out to be! She had gotten pregnant.
After giving birth to their beautiful, expediently growing daughter, they had moved into the cabin in the woods, near his family. And she had let him in. She had removed her barriers that blocked him from reading her thoughts, and let him in. He could see it all, her soul laid out. He was so overwhelmed by his love for her.
But, that was in the past. Not his love, because that would last many thousands of lifetimes, but being home in general. Now, they were here and Renesmee was home. Their family (some of them) was here, but none of them were from the time they had come from. He was cautious of what was to come, and he didn't like that feeling one bit. He had been glad that his wife had moved into his room, as they should be. He didn't want her facing this new, unusual place on her own - though he knew she was strong enough (physically, mentally, and emotionally) to do so.
The past couple of days, though, hadn't been the best. She had been so consumed by her worry for Renesmee. Then he had been sulking since the news from Alice - that she had been imprinted upon by... Jacob. He would never be rid of the wolf. However, he knew that he and Bella needed time together. He wanted to show her just how much he loved her. While she had been out, he had lit candles around the room (dangerous for them, but beautiful nonetheless). They had a bed, even though they didn't sleep. He had lain rose petals over the bed, knowing the fragrance would be beyond wonderful due to their heightened senses. He had hoped she liked her Mother's Day gift... and that it hadn't offended her too much.
He wanted to show her something, and so sat in a chair in a shadowed corner as he awaited her return.
