"Ganymede, Callisto, Io.." The young Slytherin murmured as she continued to write the other moons of Jupiter. It was an afternoon like any other. Helena was sitting in the Library, working on homework/studying for Astronomy. It was by far her favorite subject, so she didn't mind that she had spent most of her afternoon here in the library. Even though she was certain that she would get an 'Outstanding' for her OWL, a little more studying wouldn't hurt. Plus, she enjoyed coming to the Library, hardly anyone bothers you, it was easy to blend in with the other students.

A sudden thud made her jump. It wasn't very loud but it surprised her enough to accidentally spill some ink onto her parchment. "Oh bullocks!" Helena said as her eyes narrowed in annoyance. Taking the parchment she crumpled it up and put it to the side. Letting out a small sigh, she took a clean parchment and started writing. Again, another thud. "You've got to be kidding me," Helena whispered. Not really wanting to look to see who was the culprit. Maybe they'd stop or just go away.

What a day, Albus Potter finding himself stepping into the one place he avoided like a day being spent listening to a Malfoy rant. The library... Whatever posessed him to make his way there was beyond even his imagining, but, seeing as he was there and too lazy to bother with trying to find something else to do and somewhere else to be, he'd go with it. It became clear the moment he stepped foot in the place, it was too quiet. Why? Studying? Shite. Books? Shite again. Obviously there wasn't much that interested him here, only maybe there'd be a hot Ravenclaw tart somewhere about, which was the only thing that kept him from leaving.

Walking deeper into the place, the troublemaking Slytherin took in every nook and cranny. The shelves of books scared him. He didn't exactly look like a man that would frequent a library, his hair a little messy, his school uniform unkempt, half of his shirt untucked the other half still tucked, and his Slythering color tie loose and dangling from his neck. Approaching a shelf, Albus grabbrf a couple of random books, then made straight for the nearest table. Odds were they wouldn't be interesting. Once at the table, he would drop each book one by one, the hard covers thumping loudly as they crashed onto the hard surface of the table. With the last book released, he took one more look around, spotting a rather upset looking girl at the table across from him.

With a smirk he waltzed his way over, plopping down in the chair across from her, slouching back and tipping that chair back on it's hind legs. "You're that hot girl that was talking to me in my journal aren't you?" He'd asked, resting his hands on top of his head, smirking. "What're you doing in here?"

So it was the worst of the two. The culprit decided to come sit right in front of her. Even worse, it was Albus. The boy that didn't even know who she was and apparently still didn't know even when he shared a dorm with her brother. Helena's eyes narrowed, not liking that he was still calling her 'hot girl.' It would be flattering if she both believed it and if he new her name.

"My name is Helena Nott," she replied coldly. "And I was studying."

Albus didn't much keep up with the people in his house, not unless he knew for sure they weren't deserving of a dung bomb in the face. He hadn't exactly see much of this girl though, but she looked innocent enough. Maybe he could do a little corrupting. If nothing else, a little flirting. That is, if she didn't end up hexing him into oblivion before he'd get the chance. "Studying? That sounds boring." He'd reply offering her a smile slamming his chair back to the ground, propping his feet up on the table.

"My name is Albus Potter. It is a pleasure, love."

Helena's eyes narrowed as he made himself more comfortable. Why couldn't he just leave her alone? From what she's heard other students say, she had a big tattoo across her forehead that said, 'Fuck Off'. So why couldn't he see it and just leave her be?

Perhaps if she just ignored him he'd leave? Yes, that sounded like a good idea. Taking her quill, she dipped it then started writing again, writing down some more information on Io. The Astronomy homework wasn't exactly hard, she had known the moons of Jupiter before this class so most of the information she found was just a repeat of what she already knew. Still, she found it to be a fun subject and it was something she knew a lot about.

Of course Albus was comfortable, he was always comfortable. Only, their surroundings weren't exactly his style but it worked. It was always good to meet a new face, and though he new she had been a house mate of his for the past few years, he still hadn't really had the chance to talk to her.

Of course, being a Slytherin, he figured some sort of attitude. Also, being a Nott, he expected nothing less than smart mouth treatment. But, instead, she just sat there, acting as if he wasn't even there. Naturally, he couldn't help but feel the need to pester. Sliding his feet off the table, Albus stood, and leaned himself across that same table edging a little closer to her. "It's rude to ignore people, love. Why do you want to ignore me? Huh? Why? Please tell me why?"

Well that didn't work at all. Her eyes glanced up and she saw that he was closer to her. That was very uncomfortable. "Why are you bothering me?" It was a simple question, one that she really did want to know the answer too. From what she heard about Albus, there were plenty of people he enjoyed bothering. Not to mention there were birds around here that were more attractive and more interesting. Why was he wasting his time annoying her?

By now Albus was completely on top of the table, resting himself lying across it. He made sure not to crowd her space but, he didn't really try to avoid her either. He was aware that she didn't particularly like the proximity or even his presence but that didn't keep him from trying. It could have been a miscalculation on his part though, however, something told him she wasn't as hardened as she tried to make herself out to be. "Can't a bloke try and be friendly to a fellow house mate?" He'd ask, quirking a brow and offering her a bright genuine smile. "Besides, everyone needs a break from studying every once in awhile."

"Friendly?" Helena asked, her head tilted as she was trying to comprehend why he was laying across the table like that. "With you, it's never just 'friendly.'" Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she looked around, hoping that he wasn't drawing any more attention, that was the last thing she needed, other students staring at them, making their own assumptions.

"So, if I talk to you will you leave me alone then?"

Albus made himself more comfortable as he now stretched out fully across the table. Unlike Helena, he didn't have a care in the world who saw him or how much attention was given. It was obviously different with her, it was plain in her eyes. Everyone was so reserved, no one understood how to live life. "I'm always friendly, love. Always. Unless I'm given a reason not to be." He'd reply, nodding firmly. It was true, Albus wasn't a typical Slytherin, he'd give anyone a chance. Unfortunately, most in his house hated him, which caused insults to fly, and revenge to be had.

"Don't make it sound like a chore. If you don't want to talk, then don't talk. Not gonna hurt my feelings any."

"Not a chore, just don't know what to talk about." What happened to go away? Well that was partly true, she didn't know what she could talk to Albus about. Helena kept her eyes on her parchment and continued to write, hoping at some point he'd get bored with her. Wasn't that always the case? Dipping her quill into some ink, she finished her last paragraph. Then taking out her list of things to do she scratched off number three.

Apparently being anti-social was a key to being put into Slytherin house. Helena hadn't said very much since Albus arrived and it didn't look like she was going to either. She didn't know what to talk about she said, and he had to wonder if she was just saying that to get him to leave or if she was just too nervous, wary, or scared to say anything. It was no secret that most of the people in their house didn't like him, a fact that Albus was particularly proud of. It made it all the more sweet when he would out do some of them in a event or class. "There's plenty of things to talk about, love!" He would exclaim not really caring about being quiet in the library. "Talk about how much you hate me, why you hate me, what makes you hate me, anything." He'd grin. "I'll just lay here and take me a little nap while you figure it out." And with a firm nod, Albus laid flat down against the table, folding his arms beneath his head and closed his eyes. Shortly afterward loud snoring began to emanate from him. Of course he was only kidding, but he was determined to get her to talk or even hex him. At least she'd live a little.

Helena lifted her eyes and watched Albus in confusion. Her face twitched once his snoring began, suddenly it was followed by a small snort. Was she laughing? Well it was sorta funny, you know for someone being an idiot.

Her eyes blinked as she remembered his suggestion on what to talk about. "I-I don't." Helena started to say but then she paused for a moment. Certainly there was reason to hate him? Almost everyone in Slytherin did. Other than being annoying, he's never done anything to her. "I don't hate you."

Albus opened one eye to peek down at Helena for a moment to see her reaction. Still nothing. What was it going to take? Either she was really good at not wanting to scream and yell at him or she was just way too sheltered. There had to be something that would spark a little life in her, there was always something.

Upon hearing her words, her declaration of her not hating him, Albus sat straight up, grinning from ear to ear. In one swift motion he hopped off of the table, swinging his legs off effortlessly. "That's a start!" He'd whisper excitedly. "I'm in the mood to dance. Do you want to dance, Helena?"

Great. Perhaps she should said 'Yes but you still annoy me.' Or something else other than 'I don't hate you.' He seemed happy to the fact that she was probably the first Slytherin to openly admit that she didn't hate him. She wouldn't want to give him that satisfaction.

This guy was seriously beyond crazy. Helena just lowered her eyes and looked around. Yup, they were still in the Library. "Um, you realize we're in a library right?" The library wasn't exactly a dancing type of place. Besides there was no music, isn't that usually a key thing for dancing?

Did anything appeal to this broad? Albus was determined, he was in the mood to dance for some unknown reason. It didn't matter that there was no music or that they were still in the library. Not to him, Albus was the type to go all out regardless of where he was. And, seeing as he wasn't doing anything too interesting, here and now seemed like a pretty good place to indulge himself in a little rhythm.

"Sure do, love." He answered, grinning from ear to ear as he done a little spin, sliding around to her other side. "What's it matter? Here is as good a place as any, right?" He'd finally nod, hesitantly taking her hand as he moved his body to a nonexistent beat. "So, what do ya say? Grant me the honor of a dance?"

"Oh um." Helena stammered as he took her hand, she stood up and watched him dance a little bit. Her eyes glanced around her nervously before looking back at Albus. Her heart started to beat faster, this was possibly the weirdest day of her life. Going from invisible to being asked to dance in the library?

"I-I don't know-" Helena started to say, then paused as she was trying to calm her nerves. "Dance, I'm not good."

Albus nodded enthusiastically, tightening his grip on her hand slightly. He smiled as she stammered and he hoped that he was getting to her. Weird or not it sometimes took doing things out of the ordinary to have a little fun.

"I don't know how either. How hard could it be?" He'd grin wider, grabbing her other hand and pulling her out from the table a ways. He really didn't want her to be uncomfortable but he had to try at least. "All right. One hand here." He continued, moving one hand to her waist. "The other here." Albus finally finished lacing his hand with hers. "One step at a time love. Slow and easy."

As Helena moved, she couldn't help but stumbled a little. Merlin this felt awkward, the only male she's ever danced with was her father at their stupid family parties.

"I hope you realize you are seriously odd." Helena mumbled. Then again, she was too right? Never talked to anyone, always kept to herself and now she was dancing in the library too.

Albus moved his hands to catch her when Helena stumbled. A small chuckle escaping him in the process. He didn't know if it was her nerves that caused her to do it or if she was just that uncoordinated. Either way, there was something undeniably cute about her. It was a rare thing to see in someone, especially of her stature. He was sure that if any of her siblings were to see them, he'd be hexed into next week and she would most likely be on the receiving end of a strong lecture.

Another laugh bellowed when she spoke. Of course dancing in the library was odd, but it was fun. Albus paid no mind to any eyes that may have fallen onto them. He slowly stepped from side to side, doing his best to try and be at least somewhat decent at dancing. A small grin began to spread across his lips and in the next instant he'd fling her away from him, keeping one hand in hers twirling her in two tight circles before pulling her back into their regular dancing stance. "I prefer outgoing and carefree." Albus replied, flashing her a small wink. "Life would be painfully boring otherwise."

Helena's face twitched when he laughed out loud. Not enough to make her smile, but it was something. Then he twirled her. The feeling that had come up was something she was not expecting. She was sure the pressure she felt on her face was because she was smiling? Not only that but a noise came out of her that wasn't her usual annoyance. A giggle?

Merlin, what the hell was going on with her?
