Tristan left the Hufflepuff common room quickly as possible. It was about 8:30, and well he had to prepare himself. Mandy would be there at 9, so he didn't have much time. Maybe he would just wing it, blurt it out quickly. No, that would so too eager. He ran his fingers through his hair as he went up the stairs to the Astronomy tower. When he reached the door he unlocked it and went inside. His watch said 8:45, and he was getting more nervous by the second.

He sighed, and sat down at the ledge practicing what he was going to say in his mind. He really had no idea, how was he going to ask her to be his girlfriend? Usually he wouldn't do this, he's had a few girls but none like Mandy, he conjured up a sunflower to give to her, since he gave her a rose at the ball. He twirled the flower around in his hands and took a deep breath and waited for Mandy to get there.

Mandy was extremely nervous as she left the Hufflepuff Common Room. She looked at her watch and it was 8:45, so it would probably be around 9 when she got to the Astronomy Tower, like Tristan has asked her. She didn't want to be too hopeful, and jump to conclusions... but the last time Tristan asked her to meet him somewhere, it had been a good thing.

She blushed just thinking of how sweet her was, to want to meet with her, rather than say any of this over journals. And always alone, just the two of them so they could hang out together. So Mandy dressed up just a bit nicer than she had the time before. She a skirt, and a cute top, with a pull over sweater since it would probably be cold up in the tower.

But she still didn't want to possibly think about what he was going to ask her... in case Mandy was disappointed. She made her way up the stairs, and opened the door to walk aside. She felt a bit cold, but Mandy smiled anyway when she saw Tristan.

"Hey, I'm here," she said walking over to meet him. This time though.

He was still thinking, and spinning the sunflower in his hand. He had been thinking about this forever, he didn't know why he was waiting so long to just pop a simple question. Fear? Yes, fear. Believe it or not, that's what Tristan fears rejection from anything. He hoped she'd say yes, and he would be the luckiest guy in all Hogwarts.

Tristan was so lost in thought, that he didn't even realize the footsteps coming up the stairs. He turned and saw Mandy coming in the tower. He had smiled also, standing to meet her eyes. "Hi." He said, handing her the sunflower, "This is for you." He grinned. "Sit with me?" Tristan asked, sitting back down, letting his legs hang off of the tower.

Mandy's smile brightened when she saw the sunflower, and she took it carefully when Tristan handed it to her. "Thank you, it's lovely," she said. Mandy still had the rose Tristan gave her on Halloween, since she dried it that night. She loved it that he got her something different.

She nodded when he asked her to sit with him, though she looked at the edge a bit nervously. So she sat next to Tristan, probably closer than necessary and she crossed her legs under her.

And then came the nervousness again for why Tristan asked her here in the first place... But it couldn't have been bad if he have her a flower, right? "It's a lovely night," she said looking up at the stars.

"It reminds me of you, so bright, sunny and beautiful." He said, looking her in her eyes, Tristan really meant it. She was something else, could she actually tame Tristan Carter?

Again, he thought how was he going to ask her? It's so complicated, he wanted to make her his, and no one steal her from him. Mandy was almost too good for a chump like Tristan, atleast that's what he believed.

"It is." He nodded in agreement. Might as well get it out right? "Mandy. I want to ask you something, and I really don't know how to ask..it's so complicated. I've really never had this many problems asking this." Tristan shook his head, mentally kicking himself. "But. The famous question is..." He paused, and smiled, "Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Thank you." Mandy couldn't help it, she blushed when Tristan said all those nice things about her. Comparing her to a sunflower. Mandy didn't really see herself the way others did, but when Tristan said things like that... she wanted to believe it, because he made her feel beautiful.

Really Tristan could have any girl, but he was spending time with her, and giving her flowers. And he'd taken her to the ball, and he kissed her-

Mandy watched how Tristan was getting nervous, and it made her nervous. It was so strange to see Tristan to be like this around her, when he was so different with other girls. She gasped lightly though when he got the question out.

She had hoped... and partly expected but still it was a surprise. She was blushing madly, but she started to nod. "Yes! I- I'd like that very much. Oh my gosh!" she said covering moving closer to hug Tristan's arm, and hid her face in his shoulder.

"No problem, It's the truth. You're absolutely lovely." He smiled, Tristan loved making Mandy blush, that was the best feeling in the world. Seeing the rosy color come to her cheeks, it just made his smile.

Tristan felt a rush of relief, he'd worried so much for nothing. He quickly wrapped her in the kissing the top of her head. "Oh, man, Mandy you've made me the happiest guy on this planet."

Tristan again was hesitant, but he grabbed her face gently and looked into her eyes, his face lowering slowly to her. Finally his lips touched hers. he kissed her softly, loving the moment.

She felt that she had to be lovely, for Tristan to say it that way so she didn't try to object. Especially since he was smiling at her, and she loved it.

"I don't know if that's possible, but I know you've made me so happy," she said, loving to be close to him and she felt the kiss on her head.

Mandy didn't know if it was possible to blush anymore when she felt his hands on her cheeks. And he was looking directly into her eyes. It was so... so close and intense. She couldn't look away. He'd only kissed her once before- and he was her first kiss so she wasn't nearly used to it yet.

But she loved it when Tristan kissed him. She let her hands rest on his shoulders and she closed her eyes, loving that he was so soft and slow with her, as she attempted to kiss him back.
