If Dominique would ever mention to Phoenix that she found him 'nice', he probably would be appalled. It was a good thing then that the young Weasley kept her thoughts to herself. Phoenix wasn't pleasant, or overly sociable. In fact, he's quite far from them. But he was not judgemental, and doesn't allow himself to be overly influenced by what other people think. Some might call it 'stubborness', but he'd rather rafer to it as 'strength of character'.
Of course he has heard about the feud. Ever since he could remember, he had been told to keep his distance from anything overly-freckled and red-haired. Dominique was neither of those things, save from the light dust of cinnamon freckles on her nose, of course. They were the only things that gave her lineage.
Phoenix nodded once, then again when she asked if they should go. He started walking, taking slow steps so he was sure she could keep up. "I'd like to thank you for offering to keep me company." he said, the corners of his lips crawling up subtly into a hardly noticable smile. "It's not that I don't fancy a walk alone." he explained. "I merely deem it... more enjoyable when your with company." The pair reached the bottom fo the steps, then started crossing the Hogwarts grounds. "I trust your day was pleasant?"
