Piper wasn't really sure why she suggested that they do something together... Again, Piper knew she should be avoiding Tony... Really with the way that their families were, the fact that they shared a sibling, but she still wanted to see him. So she talked to him, she came up with idea and he'd agreed.

Piper found herself standing alone just outside the Leaky, a little bit early. She figured early wasn't bad, besides if he decided not to show she could find some way to amuse herself without feeling like such a loser, how she wasn't sure yet.... But Piper was pretty sure she'd figure it out after a few moments. She'd gone through her bad stage although honestly she thought everyone was being a little hypocritical, treating her like it was only her who went off the deep end sometimes. Piper had her own thoughts about that, people didn't like to see their own flaws, and frankly people wanted to pretend they were a lot better than they are instead of really being honest. Oh well, that had passed, she wasn't going to listen to the excuses or the bullshit anymore.

She leaned against the side of the building as her thoughts took her to the last year, honestly if she thought about it, it had all been completely insane.

Tony couldn't really stay away from Piper as much as she could stay away from him. He just couldn't help it, he liked her. She had been his girlfriend, even if it had been a very short period of time. And even if they shared a brother, and her Mum was living with his Dad... it didn't really matter. Tony didn't see Piper as his sister, and he never would. And that just made everything so much more frustrating.

So he agreed to meet up with her, for something fun for a change. Because nothing about this summer was fun at all, except for hanging out with Evan a few times. So without saying where he was going, Tony got ready and flooed to the Leaky Cauldron.

He dusted himself off, but Tony couldn't see her anywhere inside... so maybe she was outside? It was worth checking, so if she showed up he wouldn't look like he was desperate to find her... So Tony went outside on the Muggle Side of the Leaky Cauldron, and saw Piper leaning against the wall. "Hello," he said getting her attention.

Piper was going insane right? Had he gotten better looking over the holiday? He had... And that wasn't fair. Why had she suggested this again? Because she liked hanging out with him, or she just liked torturing herself. Piper smiled when she saw him all the same.

Piper moved off of the wall and wrapped an arm around his neck quickly kissing his cheek... Shit she shouldn't do that, Piper couldn't figure out how it just happened. Piper really kind of did it because maybe part of her was mad at herself for ending things like she had, but it was complicated.

"Um." Piper said taking a step back. "Are you ready?" She said nodding towards the street. She seriously was hoping this wouldn't be too awkward...

Tony did get a bit taller over the summer, had his hair trimmed and matured a bit more in his appearance... Tony had noticed that much. He still didn't think he looked that different now. Piper, still looked beautiful, though he hair may have been a bit longer.

He smiled when she walked over to him, which faded quickly when she moved in close to kiss his cheek, and moved her arm around his neck. He blushed a bit, totally not expecting that. Especially after how everything went with their relationship...

"Ugh, yeah. I'm ready," he said when she moved away. "Lead the way," he said nodding that he was still okay to go. Not going to run away or anything...

Ugh... Out of all the things she had to do, she had to not think and just respond to seeing him. Piper was just glad when he said he was ready. Piper turned around shutting her eyes for a moment looking at the street signs. She actually had her uncle to thank for laser tag.

Piper didn't say anything until they were standing at a street waiting for the light to turn. "So..." She said although she really didn't have anything past so to say. Shit, she should find something. Luckily the light changed and she reached out to make sure he didn't get lost in the crowd. She was pretty sure he wasn't used to muggle street traffic, and she didn't want him to get lost in the crowd.

Tony didn't go out into Muggle London a lot, but he'd been out enough with Zara and on his own to know about the street lights and such. Of course his father didn't know that, and Tony didn't really give that impression.

While they stood at the street corner, he look at Piper but she didn't really say much. When they started going across the street, he was able to keep up. But he almost reached out to hold her hand but only succeeded in skimming his knuckles against the back of her hand when Tony stopped himself.

"How did you do on your ow-... on your marks?" he decided on asking when she couldn't start a conversation.

Piper felt her heart quicken as his hand brushed against hers, Piper half really wanted him to take her hand but knew that was wrong. Piper knew it was stupid. Piper was puzzled as to how that could all work.... Wait no, nothing worked.

"Oh, I did fine." She said with a shrug. Piper really had done well, but that didn't really matter anymore, she didn't really think anything like that mattered when her siblings lives were well, more interesting. Piper looked over at him. "How about you? Do well..." Well he had to do well, he'd talked about becoming a curse breaker. Those had to be good marks...

She didn't say anything about Tony wanting to hold her hand, so he figured he was in the clear, and nervously put his hands in his pockets as they kept walking. But he did really want to hold her hand. And Tony kept thinking about how she'd kisses his cheek only a few minutes ago.

"That's good," he said nodding, but she didn't really elaborate. She was a bit stranger for a prefect, not really caring about her marks and all that... not that all prefects were like that. "I did well. But I set high expectation for myself too."

Piper looked over at him, she had to stop herself from frowning as she saw his hand move to his pocket. Why did this have to be so confusing? It was fair! Piper hated every single second of it. She really couldn't figure it out.

She smiled. She didn't have low expectations for herself, it was just well her 5th year had changed her a lot, she'd seen more things than she ever wanted, more odd things happened in that year than anyone should deal with. Piper nodded to the right to wind around a less busy street. She was taking a short cut to get to where they were headed, and honestly maybe being on a less busy street would be nice.

It was incredibly confusing. Tony looked at Piper, trying not to look nervous or anything. Not show what he was feeling anyway. It was just so... frustrating.

He followed her onto another street, not so crowded so it was much easier for them to walk. "Have you been keeping up with your Quidditch practise? I heard your-... Jacob got Qudditch Captain," Tony said stopping himself from saying 'your brother', since he was Tony's brother too.

Piper paused... Awkward.... Sort of, well Jacob in general was awkward. "Yeah he got captain, he's excited." Piper said smiling. "We spend a lot of time practicing.... A lot." Piper said with a soft smile. She was happy for Jacob.

Piper looked over at Tony, her eyes falling to his hand in his pocket for a second before looking forward. "Um... So do you know anything about laser tag?"

By the way she was smiling, it didn't seem like it was a bad thing that Piper and Jacob were practicing a lot. He just gave her a smile in return, but avoided mentioning Jacob again, since it was kind of awkward.

"Actually," Tony said his hand coming out of his pocket to run it though his hair. "This probably won't surprise you but, I don't know what it is. I mean, I know what tag is but... past that you're going to have to explain it to me."

Piper forgot all about anything that could link to family, it wasn't good to think about. Piper had a lot more on her mind, and it wasn't fair.

"Well they are like fake muggle guns and you am at each other and hide behind things. They always explain it a lot better than I can." She said smiling stepping to the side towards him, her arm brushing against his so she could get out of the way of someone else. She forced herself not to let her arm link around his.... Why was this so hard?

"Is it safe?" Tony asked a little bit discouraged when she said that they were muggle guns. Fake though, but still. But she couldn't explain that much more to him than that.

Then he forgot about that when she brushed against him suddenly, to get out of someone's way. She was so close... and his hand was out. If he could just- Merlin, why did this have to be so hard? It was worse than when they just started dating.

"Oh bloody it all to hell..." Tony mumbled to himself under his breath, and he reached out to take a hold of her hand.

"It's safe..." Piper said with a smile. "I promise."

Piper heard something she didn't really understand. Piper wasn't expecting his hand to reach out and take hers. Piper looked over at him with a half shocked look, but her fingers intertwined with his. Piper liked the way that it felt. She didn't even think about letting go.

"Um, they aren't anything dangerous, it's all for fun.." She continued on about Laser Tag.

Tony blushed, not sure what he was doing grabbing her hand like that. He spared a glance at her, and she looked shocked. But she didn't let go or pull her hand away. She just intertwined her fingers with his. Well... it was wrong, but they were both doing it together.

"So what's the point? The aim of the game?" he asked when she explained more. He got it was tag, and there were guns... and running and hiding. But what was the objective?

"To put it mildly, to shoot the other person the most." Piper said with a shrug. She knew it all probably sound kind of odd, but it was a lot of fun. "There will be other people and well, it's really fun." Piper side.

Piper pulled him to the right again as she lead him into a small sort of square before heading towards a door that said 'Laser Tag.' Piper looked over at Tony for a second, she looked away, she knew looking over at him wasn't a good idea, it just sort of happened... again. As she headed up the stairs in the muggle building, she finally led them into the starting room where they could sign up, pay and than get fitted.

"There are other people too?" Tony asked confused. That he didn't know about... but Piper said it was supposed to be fun so he believed her. He just didn't think strangers were going to be involved too. But it wouldn't be just the two of them at least.

He let Piper pulled him along, since she was the one that knew where they were going. And he noticed now that they were close by to the laser tag place and she took them inside.

Piper nodded. "Yup, there are other people." She said with a smile. It was going to be really interesting watching Tony Flint play laser tag... For some reason Piper couldn't exactly figure out why it'd be so amusing.

As they got up, she headed to the counter and told the guy they wanted to play, she paid with the muggle money before they were lead into the 'starting room.' Piper didn't really want to let go of his hand, but she kind of had to, the whole putting on the vest and stuff. She slowly let go of his head, her heart beating just a little bit faster.

As they got fitted and the rules were explained, they were placed on two different teams. It was pretty much all guys except for one other girl who was on Tony's team.

Tony was nervous. He was sure he understood it all, he could follow instructions very easily. And it wasn't like he wouldn't be able to recognize his own team with colours and such. But it was weird that Piper was on the other team.

But they both had their vests and their guns, so it didn't take very long to be let into the playing area, which was strange too. It was dark, with a dark light, and there were a lot of glowing designs all over the place. Even their vests and guns glowed. Muggles... they had their own strange magic.

Tony moved anyway to hide behind an a fake wall when the game started, and he already heard people starting to shoot.

Piper was really looking forward to it, and playing on a different team made it pretty fun for her. She went off with a few of the other people before heading off to another direction after shooting a couple of people. Piper was just excited, she really wanted to find Tony, just to see how he was handling all of it, it was different. Very different.

Piper rounded a corner and saw someone hiding, he looked about the right height, she moved quickly, quietly. She was pretty good at that kind of stuff, growing up with 3 brothers helped.

Piper aimed her gun slowly towards the figure. She reached over to kick the wall on the other side, make some kind of distracting sound, hoping to get who ever it was to turn around so she could aim at them.
