WHO: Paul Creevey & Nymphadora Weasley
WHAT: Dora apologizes.
WHERE: Hufflepuff Commons.
WHEN: Later Afternoon. Around the time he discovers her peace offerings.
WHY: Because he took away her nickname priveleges~ :3
RATING: TBA
STATUS: Closed / in Progress

It was with a heavy, remorseful heart that Nymphadora Weasley woke up in her Hufflepuff Dormitories that evening. Being a person whow was highly impartial to any form of negativity, she has never learned how to handle a situation where she had unintentionally upset someone. There was a constant ache in her chest since the realization that his anger in the journals had been genuine. She was only joking! How could anyone believe that she could actually make someone into a pie? The worst part was it was Paul- in a way the burden was heavier because it was him who was mad at her, and such ony exemplified his importance to her.

So with a determined line to her shoulders, she woke and headed immediately for the kitchens. Her entire afternoon had been dedicated to making her pies for Paul, which the elves had only been too accomodating to assist her with. By late afternoon, she was able to accomplish three: a lemon meringue, a strawberry designed with hearts, and her personal favorite, a banana cream one. With specific instructions, the house elves had gone to Paul's room and left the pies on his bed, along with a note from her, folded into a paper plane, just like they always did, even when they were together. She only hoped he wouldn't get more upset with her...

Dishiveled and possibly covered in flour, Dora retreated back to the Commons. It was with exhaustion that she decided lounging for a second on the couch near the fire to rest would be a good idea. The moment her head hit the couch arm, she was out cold...

Paul didn't really know why he'd gotten so utterly bent out of shape about the joke that Peter and Dora had woven over the last days. He just wasn't fond of anything that had to do with death, murder in particular. He didn't find it funny. He'd never been one to laugh at jokes like that. The once popular 'dead baby' jokes positively sickened him, and he'd barely been able to stomach the idea of someone being turned into a pie, much less someone turning him into a pie. At first, he'd tolerated the joke rather well, he thought, but it just went entirely too far for his liking. The image made him a bit sick.

He'd honestly come back to the dorm only to get a few of his things, because he wasn't hot on the idea of sleeping there. Even just staying in his own room creeped him out at the moment, but he was just going to set up camp elsewhere. Preferably somewhere far away from the Hufflepuff commons and dorms. However, seeing three pies and a too familiar paper airplane on his bed made him stop. For a moment, he considered just ignoring it, thinking it could be just another part of the joke, but he gave up after a few determined moments, opening the airplane and reading the apology. He gave a small sigh and ran his hand uneasily through his hair. Lemon meringue, banana cream, and strawberry...his favorite. Though, he was fully aware which one Dora prefered. He grabbed the banana cream pie, leaving his things behind and heading down to the common room. He thought he'd seen some piece of her as he'd come through the commons. Maybe a foot?

After just a few moments, he found her sprawled out on the couch in front of the fire. He set the pie on the table beside the couch, peering down at the sleeping form of one of his best friends. She'd made quite the apology, and he was feeling a bit guilty for getting so mad about the whole thing, "Dora," he said, tilting his head slightly. She didn't stir. He glanced around, debating on whether or not he really wanted to talk about it right then, but there was no time like the present, right? He knelt down a little and shook her shoulder, getting traces of flour on his hand, "Dorabear," he said gently, more out of habit than anything.

Pies. More Pies. Even in her dreams, the images of pies and her worries over he recent fight wit Paul didn't put her to rest. Did she bake them just right? Would he just throw them without even tasting them? Or worse, would he walk up to her and just throw it at her face? True enough, she had never thought him capable of doing something so cruel, but it wasn't as if she expected him to get upset about a few exchanged jokes either...

Initially preoccupied, the low voice that said her name barely reached her. But at the insistent thand the lightly shook her shoulders, she slowly stirred, her eyes fluttering open at the sound of an all too familiar nickname. Her blurred vision made her blink a few times so her eyes could focus. "Paul." she said, sitting up when she saw him. Her eyes then settled on the pie on the table, and images of her getting pied in the face suddenly hit her. Instantly, she cowered from him, sliding to the other side of the long seat. "I'm sorry." she said in a rush, eyes wide, her palms, covered thinly with flour, raise palmed up in surrender. "Please don't throw the pie at me."

Paul had planned to come talk to her...at least eventually. Kaida had encouraged him to do so. Both of them knew that Dora never did anyone intentional harm, and he'd promised he'd work it out with her later, but then he'd gotten distracted by Kaida's present and her kisses. Still, he wasn't planning of doing anything with the pies other than maybe eating them. Quils were easy enough to transfigure into forks and there were always a few laying around the commons. Their fellow Hufflepuffs tended to be so forgetful.

He was glad to see that her eyes were opening. It was harder to wake her up than usual, but still not altogether difficult. What he wasn't expecting was for her to cower away from him, sliding as far away as she could get and then apologizing all over, expecting a pie in the face. Of course, Dora always had a rather active imagination anyway, "Dora," he said gently, sitting down where she had retreated from, trying to push away the mental image of her cowering. Merlin, what had he done? "I'm not going to throw the pie at you. I wouldn't ever do that, no matter how mad I was...but what I wanted to say was I'm sorry too. For getting so upset over a joke. You've more than made up for it," he assured her, wishing that he could just go back to the previous day and completely do it over. Why couldn't he have just ignored their jibes?

Light eyes widened even further when he moved to sit beside her- where an aim at her face would be perfect. Again, she shifted away from him, but found that he back was already flat agaiinst the other couch arm. Nowhere to go...

But then, Paul suddenly spoke. And... apologized? Dora's dark brows drew together in momentary confusion, but her expression softened when he was done. "Aw, Paul. I'm really sorry. I should have known when to stop. I know I went too far..." she insisted, then rembled on, her hands going every which way as she explained. "Sometimes I just forget when to stop when I've gained momentum, you know. Then it'll take a trainwreck for me to stop. And it did happen. You got mad at me, and Merlin, you don't know how... sad I've been. I cant even eat properly! And you know me, I love my food..."

Of course, she had to try to move further away from him, which made it that much worse? He was really beginning to hate the fact that he overreacted. Couldn't he have just laughed and let it go? In fact, come to think of it, if he hadn't gotten upset, they probably wouldn't have gotten so detailed with it anyway.

Paul listened to her little rant until she got to the part about not being able to eat and then he waved his hands in a 'stop right this minute' sort of motion, "You haven't been eating?" he demanded before she'd even properly stopped talking, "Dora, I was just ticked. I was never going to stop being friends with you. I just needed to blow off some steam for a while and get it out of my system...I didn't want you to get upset. I should have just let it go to begin with. You never meant anything by it, I know, but I was stupid, you've got to eat something though," he insisted, reaching around and grabbing the pie, absently grabbing his wand and summoning two quils which he promptly transfigured into forks, handing her one and sitting the pie in front of her with a pointed look.

Dora's ceased talking when he held a hand up to stop her: an immediate action, which she guessed was his intention. She listened quietly when he spoke, the knots in her chest significantly loosening with every word that left his mouth. She wanted to hug him, then apologize again, but he suddenly summoned the pie on the table, transfigured two quills into forks and handed one to her. Instantly, her stomache grumbled and she blushed, hands coming to rest over her cheeks. His intention was clear, and because she was so hungry, she couldn't resist the offer. Inching a little closer, she sat indian-style on the couch, waited until they were shoulder to shoulder before she took a piece and brought it his mouth. "I made this for you. You should take the first bite, obviously."

He was relieved when she didn't seem to be...well, frightened of him any more. It made him feel bad, to see her scooting so far away, acting as though he were some monster. Still, she seemed to be okay as she came forward. He simply watched her. He was going to make sure that she ate some of the pie, and then preferably, he would take her down to the kitchens to get some real food. He wasn't entirely expecting it when she offered the first bite to him though, however to save time arguing, he rolled his eyes with a playful air and took the bite. It really was a good pie, he thought. Dora could be good at something like that. Professional pie maker. After he swallowed he said, "I like it," just to assure her that it was indeed a good apology, "Now eat, Dora," he insisted. He was going to eat with her, but he'd eaten that day, and she hadn't, so she was the first priority right then.

It was heart-warming to his his small praise of her four-hour labor. "I'm glad to hear that!" she beamed excitedly, clapping her hands once. Then, Paul's quick action and pointed stare spoke of his impatience. "Alright, alright." Taking her fork, she scooped a generous portion from the tray and brought the sweet-smelling pastry in her mouth. She smiled contentedly and settled more comfortably back on the cushions, looking up at Paul. "You look... different." she observed, a curious expression masking her features as she brought her fork into her mouth again. "It might just be because we haven't seen each other in a while. Unless, there is a reason for any sudden change in you that I'm not aware of..."

It made him feel better when she started eating, and seeing her reaction made him grin. At least she wasn't acting like she had a few minutes before. He took another bite, settling back like she did, and looking over when she made the curious statement. Did he? Paul hadn't really noticed, but that seemed to be the general opinion. Since he'd begun dating Kaida...had it really been a week? He knew that he'd gotten caught up with things, that he'd been swept up in relationships and planning. He had been waiting for the right time to bring it up to Dora, and then there was the whole pie fiasco. Stalling, he took another bite of pie, trying to come up with the words. He wasn't entirely sure what she was going to say, "I'm dating someone," he said tentatively, "It's a recent development and just when I was about to tell you, well..." he gestured to the pie. He ran a hand through his hair with a pleased sort of smile coming to his lips. Even a slight flush came to his cheeks. Merlin, he was hopeless, "It's Kaida."
