Ozzie was so confused. To the point where it wasn't even funny. He'd made a total fool out of himself not long ago by letting both of the girl he fancied know that he liked them. Piper and Lily. And to make things even worse, the two of them were best friends! He didn't want to hurt one or the other by picking the other girl and he most certainly didn't want to lost their friendship because of his being a stupid teenage boy. Whoever said that having crushes was fun was seriously nuts. So, he was trying his best to mess things up any worse...even though he really did want to ask Piper to Hogsmeade. But going with Lily wouldn't be bad either. Oh Merlin, he was confused!

So, he was sitting in the common room with his favorite issue of X-Men and trying desperately not to give himself the chance to open his big mouth and ruin things anymore. Plus, it gave him a chance to think. Porter was encouraging him to ask Piper to Hogsmeade, but he still wasn't sure. "Merlin, I wish I wasn't such an idiot..." Ozzie closed the comic book for a moment and smacked himself in the forehead with it.

Things would be so much easier if he knew if Lily or Piper fancied him back. Somehow he guessed that Piper didn't...Lily he wasn't so sure about. Why did liking people have to be so complicated?

Lily had been feeling weird since lunch. And with the amount of weird stuff that had happened already due to potioned food, and because she kept seeing people snogging in the halls she probably should have been smarter and avoided everyone and hid in her room. But Lily had never been one to avoid the dangerous or awkward, so she went around doing the same things she normally did. Which is why she headed straight through the common room after classes.

She wasn't really paying much attention, till someone in the room made her stop. Ozzie sitting there reading something. She had been having strange thoughts about him all day, but with all that weirdness going on between them it was that unusual. Since everything had come out she had thought about the two of them a lot. She would have been happy if he picked her, but she'd probably be just as happy if he picked Piper. But the last half of the day she'd been thinking more than normal. About him, and kissing him, and having him all to herself. She was too far into those thoughts to even realize that something was wrong with her.

Seeing him on the couch, looking adorable, she just couldn't help herself. Dropping her bag in the middle of the room she bounded over to him, grabbed him by the collar, and kissed him.

It seemed that all the girls in Hogwarts were asking weird. He'd seen several girls walking out of lunch and then going on to grab some unsuspecting boy and snog them. It was quite out of the ordinary...but not strange enough that it didn't make sense. Weird things were always happening in the halls of this school. He was just hoping that some random girl wouldn't try and kiss him for no reason at all. It would have been awkward, for once. And two...well it just would have confused him and made him feel all weird. Unless Piper or Lily decided to kiss him...wait, he wasn't supposed to be thinking like that! It only made things worse.

Ozzie honestly could say that he could see himself being with Piper or Lily and being just as happy either way. They were both amazing girls. Fun to be around and very good friends. They were both pretty. Choosing one would be hard, but unless he stopped liking them both altogether, then the choice would be unavoidable. Until then, he was thinking about the both of them even if he tried so hard not to. Oh well.

He'd looked up for a moment when he saw Lily coming over to him. He closed his comic and smiled, intending to just say 'Hi'. But obviously she had other plans. When she grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and kissed him, Ozzie was more than surprised. Lily was kissing him...that didn't happen. Since when did she even want to kiss him? He had to admit that it did feel nice. Really nice. But still strange! He pulled back from her a minute, that expression of surprise on his face. "Uh...hi?"

This was nice. It had been awhile since she'd kissed anyone and kissing Ozzie was not bad at all. She'd been thinking about it since lunch and now it was actually happening she wasn't disappointed. She loosened her grip on his collar and place her hands flat on his chest and leaned in closer. She probably would have stayed like that for awhile if he hadn't eventually pulled back.

Okay, maybe this wasn't the best idea. He look really, really surprised and Lily couldn't tell if it was a good surprised or a bad surprised. He was probably going to hate her forever now, even though Lily had really enjoyed it. And if he was upset it would be because he didn't like her anymore, not because she was a bad kisser. She was a good kisser, a great one in fact. Potters were not bad at it.

She leaned back and ran a hand through her hair awkwardly. "Uh, hi. How was your day?" she said really fast, a little breathless. She really wanted to kiss him again, but she was going to be good this time and resist. Unless, of course, he started it next time.

Ozzie hadn't kissed a girl in forever. The last one had been a girl from back home and that had lasted for all of one week. And yes, he had thought about kissing Lily or Piper before. He was a boy, after all! A weak boy at that. But he'd never actually expected to get a kiss from either of them. Hence why he was so surprised. Even more so when her hands moved from his collar to his chest and she leaned closer.

Bloody hell did that feel good! But he still needed to know why in the name of Merlin's beard she was kissing him. Whatever the outcome, he wasn't going to hate her. It had been an great kiss...just very out of the blue.

"Fine, I guess...and yours?" Why did Lily sound so breathless? Just the way she was looking at him seemed different from normal. This was weird, but kind of in a good way. "Why'd you kiss me?" He really needed to know.

This was going to end badly for her. If she had been thinking rationally at all she would have realized that. But all she could think about was the ridiculous thoughts that had been in her head since lunch. It was like all the romantic thoughts she'd ever had about Ozzie had been multiplied and were crowding out everything else, it was all she could think about. And she actually leaned into kiss him again and almost had her face to him when she caught herself.

"It's been kinda weird, I guess you can tell that." She leaned back and pulled away, hoping that would keep her from being tempted. "I don't know. I've just been thinking about it all day, and I couldn't get you out of my head. And I saw you on the couch looking adorable and I couldn't help myself?" That was truthful, it left out any part of her thinking about kissing him before today though. "Want to try it again?"

She just couldn't help herself that time.

If this was ending badly for her, then it was most definitely going to end badly for him. He was confused enough over all of this anyway! And now he had to factor in this kiss that had happened randomly and the fact that he had really enjoyed it...why did the world want to make his decision harder? Picking one girl over the other would be, by far, the hardest thing he would ever have to do. Being a guy was too difficult. Being one that fancied two girls at once was even worse. Ozzie had been thinking, up until the point where he saw her leaning in to kiss him again. But apparently she caught herself.

"Um, yeah. Just a bit." He sat there, comic book forgotten at his side by now. "That's a little...out of the blue? I mean, what brought all that on? Or did it just sort of...happen?" Her last question threw him for a little bit of a loop. Honestly the answer to that question was yes. He just didn't know if he wanted to say it.

"Um...maybe? I guess..." Poor confused boy.

It's like the idea multiplied!" She forgot she wasn't going to tell him she'd thought about kissing him before today. But with her being distracted, mainly by his lips, she couldn't keep anything in. Even when she was acting normal she didn't really have a filter, but this was worse than normal.

She should have been thinking about other things. Like what about Piper, did she like Ozzie, or did Ozzie like Piper more, or if Albus was going to come flying through the door to kill Ozzie. She was too busy working about his answer to her last question.

A maybe in her book was a yes, so she grabbed him and pulled him towards her again, and kissed him again. Her hands moving this time to be around his neck.

I've thought about it before. Just not as much as I've been thinking about it today. Had she seriously just said that? Ozzie still looked surprised. Lily Potter had just said that she'd thought about kissing him before today. And that had to mean that she fancied him...at least a little. Right? Merlin, why did this have to be so hard? If Lily fancied him, then there was a chance that he could pick her over Piper. Only problem was...he didn't know whether or not Piper fancied him at all. So many feelings could be hurt and all because he'd been an idiot and said anything about liking someone in the first place.

Obviously, maybe sounded like yes to her. And just like that he was being grabbed again and pulled to her. Being the thoroughly weak boy he was, he didn't fight it or question it. If this was some weird magical occurrence that seemed to happen too often at this school, then why not make the best of it? Though he might regret it later. Still, one of his fantasies was coming true! It took him a few moments, but his arms circled her waist and he kissed her back.

He was going to regret it, but for now it was better to enjoy it.

Him thinking about things was making her a little nervous. And him not responding to the kiss was making her really nervous. What if he thought she was bad at it? Or that he decided that now he didn't like her like her. She'd never had something like this happen before, and she'd certainly never been stressed when kissing someone before. Kissing was supposed to be fun, not stressful.

But he was kissing her back, finally. So she leaned back against the pillows and so he was a little bit above her. She smiled against him, now she could stop thinking and just enjoy it. It was better than she thought it was going to be and she moved one of her hands from his neck to play with his hair.

Thinking was highly overrated. Especially when a girl was snogging you. It was just the fact that Ozzie hadn't been expecting any of this at all. That was why his mind was moving a hundred miles a minute and inhibiting him from responding to the kiss in the first place. But he didn't think she was bad at it! Merlin, no! And he definitely still liked her. Stressing while snogging...it didn't really fit together too well.

So, after seemingly too long he was kissing her back. It felt really, really good. Better than he'd imagined it, actually. As Lily leaned back some against the pillows, he shifted so he was a little bit above her. He felt her smiling against his lips and that only encouraged him. Just like her fingers playing in his hair. He tried to get a bit closer, his lips still moving against hers.

She was having fun with this. Lily wasn't the type of girl that was afraid of public displays of affection so she was completely comfortable doing this in the middle of the common room. She had gotten the bloke she wanted kissing her, and kissing her really well, on a couch. She wasn't thinking about if it was just the potion, or her brothers, or Piper.

Actually now she was thinking of Piper. Oh no, what was she doing? She couldn't ruin things with Piper so she could make out with Ozzie, not matter how much she was enjoying in it. She pushed him away a little. "I really shouldn't be doing this."

Ozzie was most definitely having fun with this as well. Public displays of affection were nice, you know, as long as they didn't go too far. But honestly he was enjoying this too much to think about the fact that they were in the middle of the common room kissing on the couch. Apparently bunches of other girls were doing the same thing with boys all over the school. He wasn't thinking because snogging Lily was absolutely amazing.

But she was pushing him away. Why was she pushing him away? Ozzie, looked a little confused. "What's the matter, Lily?" But then, thinking about it a bit, he kind of understood. Lily and Piper were best friends. Who would want to ruin something like that over a boy?

"What about Piper? I feel like she should have a say in this or something. What if she's somewhere search for you to snog and I just found you first? What is wrong with me?" Lily stood up, straightening her clothes and hair as she did. She now felt like she was doing something shady and that was overshadowing her feelings of wanting to kiss Ozzie again.

"I really should be going." She leaned in to kiss him a final kiss before turning away to grab her bag from where she had dropped it earlier. "I'm really sorry I did that, please don't be mad at me."

"Well...I don't know if she would want to snog me, I guess. But there's nothing wrong with you." Even as he said it, though, he moved out of her way so that she could get up. He watched her as she straightened her clothes and her hair. Of course, being the somewhat simple bloke he was, he didn't see this as something shady. Honestly, he really wanted her to kiss him again. Otherwise he would have been far too tempted to get up and hold her close to kiss her again.

"If you really think so." That last kiss still felt way too good and as tempted as he was to just keep on snogging her, he just let her go. "How could I be mad at you? And there's really no need to be sorry..."

"Uh, just thank you I guess? It was fun and all, but that can so not happen again." She felt all guilty and stuff and it was clashing with her post-snogging high that had been making her feel all happy before. But friends first, Piper as well as Ozzie just as a friend. This is why she normally dated outside her friend group, she didn't want to mess up.

"Really, I'll just see you in class or something." Lily was really embarrassed now and she didn't want to hear if he had anything else to say so she turned on her heels and headed up the stairs to her room. "I'm really sorry."
