Who: Liam Dawson and Olivia Krylenko When: Backdated to after their conversation Where: Olivia's place to start What: Catching up and hanging out Warnings: Probably not
Liam knew that he could have probably done a lot of stops on his first few days back to town so that he could visit his old friends, but he hadn't. He wouldn't admit it, not outloud anyway, but he had been worried. Technically to the entire world Liam Dawson had been guilty of a robbery a few towns over; he had even been put away in a juvenile detention facility for two years. He hadn't done it, it had been Luke, but that hadn't mattered. Liam had taken the fault willingly, and he knew what that was going to do to his life. He knew it would mean losing his life, his friends, any chances of a career playing football like how he had wanted to, but it had been worth it. For his little brother it had been worth it, because he had been wanting to give him a chance at a better life, even if ultimately Luke had left and Liam had no idea what the hell had happened to him at all.
But, now he was back. Liam had never expected to come back to this town, to this life, and he wasn't sure what pieces he could still salvage. He had been gone for nine years, and a part of him had almost planned to just lay low and not do much to not bring attention to himself, but his old friends seemed to be just that - his friends. None of them were giving him the cold shoulder, none of them seemed to pull away, and Liam couldn't even begin to explain how relieved he was at that. It was weird, to be back to a place that he had left at 16, and in some ways it was like returning to that age, but it wasn't so bad. He was actually enjoying it, and god, he did not expect that. At all.
As unexpected as it was, though, he didn't question it. If anything, when Olivia said she was disappointed she hadn't seen him, he made a plan to go see her, and he stuck to it.
After his shift at the service station, he cleaned up and changed clothes at work before heading over to her parents' house to see if he could locate her. And, when he saw her, he couldn't hide the smile on his face at the sight of his old friend. "Hey."
