After speaking with Hephaestus, Apollo shifted himself home, arriving in his and Jason's bedroom. It was the one room where he could almost be assured that he wouldn't startle Cara, or Kelly, with his abrupt arrivals. Toeing off his shoes, he took a moment to change into more comfortable clothes, and still the weight of the day clung. Sighing, he walked through the house in search of his fiance. The first hint of Jason's presence was the occasional bark from the direction of the pool. Smiling, he headed for the kitchen. Jason was visible through the French doors, skimming the pool. Apollo watched Cara dart around to a section Jason wasn't near and begin barking. Apollo had to squint to see the leaves and such that she was barking at. Jason shook his head and wandered over to clear that area of the pool to Cara's satisfaction, the dog settling on her haunches and radiating satisfaction as her human did her bidding.
The visual kept a smile on Apollo's face as he dug through the fridge for the pitcher of tea that Jason or Kelly always had made. He grabbed it and two glasses, filling one of the glasses with ice and cold tea before putting the pitcher back and filling his own glass with Scotch. He grabbed both glasses and eased out the semi-open French doors, Cara's head perking up when he made his presence known. She butted at Jason's knees as if to make sure he knew they weren't alone anymore. Apollo's smile softened as he deposited the glasses on the patio table and slumped into a seat. The sun was muting the horror of the day, and the alcohol would do it's part, but being with Jason was all he really needed.
