Kelly stood at the window of his suite in Labyrinth, watching the last of the sun rise, Jason's phone call barely minutes old. The text he'd gotten had been enough to rouse him from bed, and he'd been glad when his housemate actually called them. It was hard to hear the tension in Jason's voice, to know what he was going through, but at least Jason wasn't alone. Jason had been very clear just where his suspicions lay, and while Kelly would have liked to argue, he knew better. Knew Nat's methods as well as he knew his own. He should have talked to Sid as soon as Nat had given him the name, but he'd waited, and now an innocent, probably, woman was suffering, and Jason right along with her.
Sighing, Kelly picked up the phone and called Sid's office. After being informed by Tim that Sid was having his morning workout in the employee gym, Kelly decided to join him there. Working out the tension from the pre-dawn phone call sounded like just the thing.
He had cause to regret that when he arrived and found the gym empty except for Sid, doing squats in a corner. The fact that Kelly immediately noticed the play of muscle in strong thighs, the sheen of sweat on tanned skin, did not bode well for his newly awakened libido. He was able to shove all of that aside when he remembered the sound of Jason's voice on the phone.
Disappearing long enough to drop his bag in the locker room, Kelly re-emerged and headed for one of the bags in the corner. He would wait until Sid felt like taking a break. He needed the warm-up anyway.
