Day Two - Realisation Sets In
WHO: Helena and Gabrielle
WHAT: Helena starts to panic
WHEN: Day 2
WHERE: Watching the Jousting
RATING: PG for possible swears
STATUS: Incomplete

Helena wiped the tears from her eyes and kept walking. She had been walking around the strange ren fair for the better part of 6 hours, looking for something, ANYTHING that would prove her fears wrong. The room she had a key to was stale and unfamiliar, the journal kept filling up with strange peoples thoughts, and as much as it all seemed like a dream, like it should be a dream, Helena was growing more and more fearful that it wasn't.

For one thing, she was hungry. Starving even. She didn't get hungry in dreams normally. Secondly, there was the smells. Dreams didn't have smells, but she could distinctly smell everything around her. Then there was the moment when she tripped over a tent rope and fell down, grazing her hand on the ground and drawing blood. That was when it hit her. One thing she was sure of; people didn't feel pain in dreams.

So she watched the sun rise and started to walk. Around and around, the place seemed to have no borders. So much like a dream and yet... she was confused, dirty, hungry and tired, but above all things Helena was scared. The tiny part of her that still clung to the idea, to the hope that she would wake at any moment, it dwindled with every passing moment until she stopped in her tracks and gave in to sobbing.

She was lost, and she wanted to go home.
