Leonard 'Bones' McCoy ([info]bones_mccoy) wrote in [info]labyrinth_rpg,
Leonard nodded slightly. It was strange, no doubt about it, that they would have this sort of instant connection. He'd never felt like this about anyone else before, that much he was certain on. "Yeah, and something about the way you look at me..." Had she looked at him like that before? Or was it more like... he wished she would look at him like that, like she wanted nothing more in this exact moment then to be with him? But how could he wish something like that when they'd only met a very short time ago? It was puzzling, no doubt about it. And the way she spoke about his smirk, or him narrowing his eyes at the goblins, confused him as well. Had she made comments like that before?

But he wasn't going to figure this out, he realized. This whole sense of deja vu confused the hell out of him, he'd never felt anything like this so strongly. And there wasn't anything else in the world he could imagine wanting to do than dance with this girl. So maybe that was all that mattered, at least, the way he looked at it. He led her through the steps of a dance that they both seemed to know fairly well, at least to the point where they could do it without hurting each other. Some other couples around were dancing differently, but that was okay. It wasn't like he'd ever been afraid to be different.

"I ain't never believed in nothing like that before, but darlin', I think I'm startin' to." As she shifted closer, he did the same, to the point where people back home would definitely be whispering about it. But he didn't care much about that, as long as her reputation was okay. But she was unmarried, not engaged, so there was really no problem there. No one to be outraged. And it wasn't like any of the people around were paying much attention. "I think we might be onto something here, don't you?"
