WHO: Adam and OPEN
WHAT: The arrival of a very displeased werewolf
WHEN: Day Ten, dusk
WHERE: Middle of the amusement park
WARNING: TBA
STATUS: Incomplete

Adam hadn't entirely figured out why he'd been kidnapped. Oh, there were lots of people who wouldn't be upset if he disappeared, but no one had killed him. The only one who'd died was that young, newly-bitten werewolf. And, he was sure he'd taken out some of the people who had come for him, which he'd taken a certain grim satisfaction in. Other than that, it was all a puzzle, and he didn't like things that didn't make sense. It offended him. If things were going to be done, they should be done for a reason.

What infuriated him more was when they brought his daughter, Jesse, in, and he couldn't do anything to help her. He was so drugged he could barely see straight, could barely make his eyes focus, but he'd recognize his daughter's scent anywhere. And he was caught, chained up with silver chains, helpless. If anything had ever been intolerable, this was it. Drugs weren't supposed to work on werewolves, but apparently, someone hadn't gotten that memo.

But someone had made a mistake. He didn't know how or why, but no one had been in to tranquilize him for several hours. He could feel the haze of the drugs wearing off. This was good. Despite the crippling interference of the silver, he flexed his muscles. He would be ready, and he would find a way out of this. The door opened, and a guard he recognized came in. This one was particularly mean, took pleasure in hurting him. Well, the tide was turning. His smile was almost a snarl, and a low growl left his throat. It took a lot to make him lose his temper, but kidnapping him, and more important, his daughter would definitely do it.

It seemed to him that he just closed his eyes for a second, just to blink, and everything changed. The chains were gone, and he was free. But he was also in the middle of an amusment park, and that just didn't make any sense. Had he fallen asleep? But he didn't see how that was possible. Hallucinating from the drugs? Maybe, but it felt like they'd mostly worn off. Large, dark eyes narrowed, and he looked around. The first person he saw, he was going to get some answers out of.

The labyrinth had its ups and downs and had been quite the experience . It got off to a bit of a rocky start, but Hermione got over it and kept herself pretty emotionally stable through out the remainder. Once out she rested herself for a day and took time to explore her new house, finding that it was connected to her old room had been a great comfort to her knowing she never had to go back through the labyrinth.

Getting bored with the house and feeling rested, she decided to check out the amusement park she missed out on while in their. After having a small snack of cauldron cakes and pumpkin juice from the stocking hung over the fireplace, she went back to her dorm room and got her cloak then headed off towards the amusement park.

She wrapped the cloak tightly around herself as she walked, it was starting to get dark out now which was something she never minded, besides amusement parks were more fun in the dark with all the lights on the rides lighting up the night. She headed off for something warm to eat or drink, she thought that was a good place to start.

She got a hot chocolate from the goblin at the concession stand, giggling at his little Santa hat as he gave it to her. Happy with her warm chocolate goodness she wondered the park wondering what to do first. She quickly turned around noticing a sound from behind her, finding a man, he looked awful like he had been beaten or something.

Hermione could not stand to see someone like that, she quickly ran over to this man and kneeled down next to him “What happened?” her voiced filled with concern as she drew her wand “Now this won’t hurt but you will fell cold then very hot for a few seconds” she explained before pointing it at him then muttering “Episkey” she hoped this would work on most of his injuries. “That should help but only with anything minor”

It didn't take long for Adam to sort out the scents around him. Yes, definitely a fair. And there was someone nearby who smelled odd. Not bad, but like magic. Sort of like the witch who helped him, but different, as well. Still, it was almost comforting, just because it was almost familiar. He turned to face the direction it was coming from.

And came face to face with a girl who didn't look like she could possibly be much older than his daughter. Oh, maybe a little, a couple of years, and he knew that was significant to humans. But the scent of magic was definitely coming from her, and he arched an eyebrow at her as she approached. The fact that she was so young was a good thing. It took his mood down from confrontational to something more nearly protective.

His tone was soft when he spoke to her. "What are you doing, witch?" But she had her wand out, and the spell was cast before he had a chance to do much about it. Or, at least, anything helpful. He smelled no malice on the girl, and didn't think she should be attacked. The spell she cast made him tingle, but didn't seem to do much to his wounds.

"The silver keeps them from healing." He gestured at his body, at some of the worse injures on him. "I would heal this quickly, but..." Normally, he wouldn't have talked so much, not to a stranger. Habits of caution run deep, after all. But in this case, well, the girl was a witch. He tended to get along well with witches. He saw no need to hide what he was with her.

Suddenly, his eyes rolled up into his head, and he slumped to the ground. His skin started to shine, reflect the light. This wasn't some natural ability, it was simply his body rejecting the silver out of his pores. It hurt. A lot. But he didn't let out so much as a single noise of protest. He was very good at controlling himself, and just sat on the ground to try and recover as best he could.

"Perhaps your magic did help, after all." The words came out sounding strangled, because he was clenching his teeth together to keep from screaming with the pain.

“It was only a healing spell don’t worry” she sighed looking him over, he never looked much better maybe a scrape or two mended but nothing too noticeable something was preventing the spell from working. “I see you already know about magic then” she said putting her wand back due to the fact it was basally useless for now.

“The sliver?…” Hermione thought this over for a few minuets “You’re a werewolf aren’t you?” she asked half hesitantly “I thought sliver was a muggle thing people came up with, well then again I never really asked a werewolf about it before…now I wish I did when I had the chance” with this man as proof she knew the muggles had it right or at least somewhere they did, this man could be from another world for all she knew.

Hermione shrieked when the man suddenly when into more pain and was slumped to the ground, she leaned down closer with a hand lightly on his forhead, in the panic that’s all she could think of was to be as comforting as possible. When he sat up she helped him up the best she could “That has never hurt anyone before, I’m so sorry” she felt so much sympathy for this man, he was hurt and now somewhere far from home, from family even his own world “I’m Hermione Granger by the way, could I get you anything? Something to drink maybe?”

Despite his pain, and his tightly gritted teeth, he nodded shortly. "Yes. I know many witches, and am even friends with a couple." He rose to his knees, which felt like an epic struggle, but he did it anyway. Once there, it was a relatively simple, though long and painful, process to get to his feet.

"Muggle? Someone's been reading too much Harry Potter." Leaning against a nearby concession stand for balance, he looked at her, really looked at her, and narrowed his eyes. "And the wand, too. Witches don't need wands." Adam looked at her calmly, though, when she realized what he was. "Yes, I'm a werewolf."

The silver was stinging him. It was oozing out of his pores as his body rejected the dangerous metal, but even on his skin, it was irritating and somewhat painful. He shook his hands, sending droplets of silver flying, and then turned to look consideringly at the young witch. Maybe she'd done this, started his body healing, with her magic.

His tone held an air of command as he spoke again. After all, he was an alpha wolf. Even people who weren't wolves had a hard time resisting doing what he'd told them to do when he used that tone. "Do it again. Maybe the process will be sped up if it's repeated." He shook his head with the slightest trace of impatience. "No, thank you, I don't need anything to drink...." But he paused, and his large eyes narrowed once more. "Hermione. Granger. I'm supposed to believe this?"

“I suppose you do” Hermione tutted as he tried to lift himself up “Theirs no need for that, you should stay down and rest instead of acting all macho” she sighed and propped herself under his arm to help him up the best she could, with him being so much bigger then herself.

Helping him over to the stand she sighed “More like living in it or so I’m told” She laughed “In my world they do..” She paused for a second, turning around wondering how was the best way to explain his new world to him, when she was hit with a droplet flying sliver “Let me help” She drew her wand then pointed it at the spot of sliver on her cloak and it vanished completely, then turned to the werewolf man doing the same getting the sliver off his skin before it could do more damage.

She nodded, lifting up her wand once more “Episkey” She waited wand ready for more sliver to come out. “Yes I’m Hermione Granger, I know its going to sound weird because I’m apparently from a book in your world…” she paused combing through her hair with her hand, looking for sliver she thought might have flew in. “You see your no longer in your world, you in his world, Jareth’s world”

“He must process some very powerful magic if he can just make a whole world and snatch people from the own to live in it.” She pointed in the direction of the labyrinth “The Labyrinth is over that way, you would have to get passed it to see him” Hermione guessed that he should know that, he seemed like the type that would not take being kidnapped lightly.

“This is the amusement park as you can tell, this area changes through when I first arrived it was a renaissance fair” Pointing towards the dorms she went on “the dorms are over that way, you should be getting a key for your room and a journal soon” She smiled, stopping and letting him soak in the info also giving him the chance to speak his mind

Most people, of course, would be a little weirded out by the fact that she just waved her wand, and the silver disappeared. Adam was merely curious. He'd seen witches in action before, and none of them had done things in exactly the way that she was. It interested him, and of course, as the dangerous metal disappeared, he was feeling more and more healthy.

It seemed to him that the flow of silver from his pores was speeding up as his body recovered. His own natural healing ability was taking over, aided by her magic. The cuts and bruises on his body, much of which was revealed by his ripped clothing, started healing on their own. Although he would have killed for a cup of good coffee, he felt nearly normal again.

As she kept talking, he nodded his head. "Alright, then. I'm talking to Hermione Granger, in a world that isn't my own, and was apparently brought here by someone named Jareth." The disbelief was clear in his tone. "I don't know why you people are doing this to me. No one's even asked me any questions. Explain."

Again, the tone wasn't a request. It was clear that he expected to get answers, despite the fact that he was still very, very weak, and poisoned by the silver. But then she waved her wand, and more silver came pouring out of him, this time in a positive flood as it was aided by his own healing factor. It would take time to get back to normal, but at least the silver wasn't in his body anymore. Of course, if he shifted, he would heal faster. But it was harder to communicate while a wolf, so he just dealt with it.

He fixed her with his dark eyes, willing her to speak, and to make sense this time. "Miss Granger, stop toying with me. I wish to know who you really are, why I've been brought here, and where my daughter is."

Hermione looked over the stranger, with some of the sliver gone the man looked better but defiantly not fully back to normal. He also looked like he was from a more modern time the most of the others she had met here. “Well I know it may be a bit hard to believe but you are” She sighed taking a few steps away, sweeping a stray piece of hair out of her face. “I had nothing to do with you being here…I’m a victim just like you, snatched form my own world and brought here”

“I asked you one and never got a answer” she corrected him “I asked you what happened and never got one word of an answer, any others could have waited till you were better” She looked him over once again, noticing only now that he was not really wearing much for being outside in the cold and snow. She opened her mouth to say something about this but said nothing about it. “Anyway what’s your name then?” she asked pulling her cloak tighter around herself.

She waved her wand, once again at the sliver coming out of him, making it vanish before it even hit the ground. She looked around his feet for any she missed, cleaning it up. “I really am Hermione Granger, In no way am I toying with you nor do I know why you were brought here…I was thinking about finding Jareth and asking him that very same question…Why do this? Why take people from their homes…”

Hermione fell silent for a few seconds, looked the werewolf straight in his brown eyes “I’m so sorry about your daughter, she’s not here that I know of…the people who did this to you don’t have her do they?” her tone was light, full of concern and sympathy. She hoped with all her heart that the answer was no, that the sick people who done this to him, would never get their hand on an innocent girl.

The werewolf simply looked at her, but when she stepped back a few steps, a slightly predatory look came into his dark eyes. Injured or not, he was still an alpha werewolf, and it was seldom a good idea to show any weakness in front of one. Still, he was far too hurt to do much more than smile, but it did help him form his opinion of the girl.

"Alright, then. Let's say, for the sake of arguement, that I accept you as Hermione Granger." Which he was far from convinced of, but it made more sense than any other explanation he could think of right now. "We've been kidnapped. Fine. Now, I just need to see about being sent home." After all, he most certainly had unfinished business there.

"My name is Adam. Adam Hauptman." He eyed her once more, and then smiled slightly at her. "Thank you for your words about my daughter. Unfortunately, yes, she has been taken, and she isn't a werewolf." Still, if he knew Jesse, she'd give her kidnappers hell. She might not be a werewolf, but she was spunky as hell.

"I was tied up, they shot me with something, drugs aren't supposed to work on me but these ones did." He eyed her levelly as he spoke. "And that, I fear, is the entire story. I ended up here. So." He raised an eyebrow once more. "now what?"
