Just as warm and welcoming as always. Rudolf's grin widened as his dear, dear friend greeted him. "I'm so glad to see you," he said, letting the other man pull away from him. "This place is very odd, isn't it? I'm not quite sure what to make of it."
Then, his expression darkened. "But, that means you're trapped here too. Forgive me." His selfish longing had done his friend a great disservice. Truly, Rudolf wouldn't knowingly wish forced exile on anyone. But this king had somehow learned of his desire to see his friend, and conjured the man up. Could this king see thoughts? He'd have to school his mind not to think about his mother, or else he'd trap her here as well.
Shaking his head, Rudolf looked back to his friend. "Have you been here long?" he asked. "I arrived this morning."
