"Hey," Cathal held up his hands and leaned back slightly, "I'm not the reason you're crazy. No reason to snap at me." He looked her over. She was attractive enough, he supposed, but her teeth were a little large and she wore strange clothing. She was no Clodagh, that was for sure. Only one had the same curly red hair, but even she wasn't the strong young woman he loved. He sighed and, though he didn't exactly turn his back on her, he might as well have. He turned to glance around. Though he continued to wear a stony expression, he was feeling very close to dispair. He had no idea where he was, no idea where Clodagh was, and no idea how he was going to get back to her. His one relief was that his father didn't seem to be in the immediate viscinity.

He only tilted his gaze toward her when she spoke again. "Oh what, and miss the chance to run the labyrinth? Surely you wouldn't give up that opportunity." He was being sarcastic again, but he had to agree with her. He had no intention of sticking around. He could tell she was looking him over. Resisting the urge to look down at himself he stared right back at her. He was wearing his long dark grey cloak over his loose pants and shirt. He had a sword belted at his waist and thick leather boots on his feet. He knew that his tattoos intimidated people, mostly just the people he fought, the people who were familiar with the meaning of his tattoos. But this girl couldn't know what they meant. Most likely, they were just strange looking to her. He glanced away, not wanting to see any judgement in her eyes.

"And just how do you plan to make your escape?"
