He watched the fleeting look of annoyance pass over Gabrielle's face as he reached for his bow and arrows. He wondered if she were annoyed with him, but as her gaze seemed turned inward he thought she was probably annoyed with herself for some reason. Something that had to do with his weapons. And he saw that she had none, although she did look like a warrior. He smiled lightly when he realized she was probably upset that her own weapons hadn't come with her to this strange land.
He took her hand when it was placed in his and he bent low over it, pressing his lips to her knucles before releasing it after a gentle squeeze. He noted her pleasure at the simple act and he had to wonder if she didn't meet many men who greeted her properly. "I don't think this is a mirage, either." He'd misunderstood her meaning, having missed the capital M applied to the word indicating that it was a name of a place and not an illusion that came from a weary mind. He knew what she meant about it being different here. The air was not the same as the great outdoors in England. It seemed almost full of toxicants or thickness, something that might smother him if he took too large a breath.
Robin was at as big of a loss as she as to what to do. This was his first time being taken from his own time and place. He was still trying to get used to the idea of this as a dream, although he had to still wonder where such strange people had come from. Normally when he dreamed, he knew the people and the places. This was not a normal dream, if it was in fact, a dream. "I suppose that would be one way to go about it. Do you think if we finish this game of his, we will be able to go home?"
He had things to do and people to save. He couldn't be standing about, perplexed, when men and women he was responsible for had their necks noosed in the gallows. And what about Marian? He knew that bastard of a Sheriff had her. The thought of the Sheriff had him glancing at Snape again. Damn it if the man didn't look just like him, only clean shaven with longer straighter hair and black robes instead of armour. He glanced away, shaking his head and glanced down at his key and book. "Finding our rooms is probably the place to start. At least then we know where to rest if we need it." His brow furrowed and though he had turned away to head for the dorms, he turned back. "Did you say Minotaur?"
He was certain that those were only myth, but she had seemed quite serious in her query. Odd. Very odd indeed.
