Isabella "Bella" Swan ([info]_bella) wrote in [info]labyrinth_rpg,
The rain had kept Bella in her room for the morning, up until it finally drizzled itself out. When that happened, she dressed in her jeans and a fresh t-shirt provided by her new bedroom as quickly as she could. She still wasn't so sure about wearing things provided for her, but the shirt she arrived in was dirty and she hadn't seen a washing machine anywhere, so she would just have to make do with what she hand until she could make other arrangements. plus she wanted to get outside while the sun was still shining, so she didn't really give herself enough time to be too bothered. When she was dressed- her hair pulled off her face to actually soak up some sun--she grabbed her coat and headed out for the day.

It was nice in the city--though not as nice as it had been the first day she'd arrived. She didn't mind the cold as much, as long as there was sun. She walked out into the bright afternoon and made her way to the carnival, taking her time, looking around first before committing to any course of action. She'd already been on the carousel twice and gotten herself a candied apple by the time night had fallen. She wasn't having the time of her life, but it was much more fun than sitting alone in her room worrying about her life back home. Distractions were key.

She was standing in line for the ferris wheel when a small voice caught her attention. She looked down, and there was the most beatific child she'd ever seen. Bella wasn't normally a kid person, having grown up an only child, but the beautiful face looking up at her forlornly tugged at her heartstrings, and she found herself looking up and around for someone who might be with the small girl. "I'm sorry," She replied, looking down when she couldn't spot a parent or guardian, offering her a gentle smile, "I'm not sure why it changed. You don't like amusement parks?" She asked, finding that her voice naturally softened and rose a couple of octaves in response to the beautiful little girl. She looked up again, wondering once more if the little girl had been taken by herself, or simply separated from her loved ones, "Are your parents around?" She asked, concern mixing in with her friendly smile.
