Howdy! I'm Exxie, and I'll be bringing Tristen from C.J. Cherryh's Fortress Series in. If you've never heard of it, I highly recommend reading it! If you're (like me) cheap, however, and don't want to buy books you're not sure you'll actually like.. plz to be letting me know, for I have the audio-books and I'd be happy to share. (: My only warning is that the narrator is dull, which is a shame, because the actual story is amazing.

Anyway! What about me.. er.. I'm twenty-three, I've been RPing since seventh grade (yes, I am in fact a horrible nerd), and I live in Japan, soooo-- I'm on the opposite schedule for many of you. (I did notice that someone here is from Australia? Or did I imagine that?) With that said, I do have a computer at work (where I am right now), however.. being Air Force, they watch this stuff like a hawk, so I probably won't be doing much playing during your evenings, except on weekends and holidays. ): Sadface.

I do have AIM, though I don't use it nearly as much as I use MSN. Both are listed on Tristen's info.

Very glad to be here! :D

-Exxie!

Sidenote: I am not at all happy with Tristen's pb, but finding someone to fit his look is a pain. If anyone has suggestions for a man in his early-to-mid-twenties, tanned, long dark hair and light-coloured eyes that can pull off naive/innocent and also 'I-am-the-High-King-hear-me-roar', plz to be letting me know. I will love you forever.

Hey I'm Mel! I love audio books and more things should be audio it's much easier to take in that way! I'd gladly take it from you! :) I just may fallasleep listening heh! But I had the same problem when I downloaded The Deathly Hallows. But it was worth it.

I play Willow from Buffy, she's a normally chipper wiccan who's just getting over the big loss of her girlfriend and almost blowing up the world. She'll be friends with just about everyone.

I also play Mercedes Thompson, she has her own series which I recomend,
though I don't think it's an audio book. She's a walker which means she
turns into a Coyote without needing to wait for the full moon, she also doesn't have to wear the skin of the animal or is wild when changed. She's also a sarcastic VW mechanic who can't help but get into everyone else's trouble. hehe.

Hmm no one comes to mind right now but I will be on the look out for you, that boy isn't so much with the handsomeness.

Sweet. :D I'll try to catch you sometime to send them to you.

Willow is <3 :3 However.. I have not heard of this Mercy. I'll have to look the books up! I have a list of Things Exxie Needs to Read.

I know, right? ): I spent all my reserved time just looking for a pb, cause I had his application written the first day.

See Amy squee. See Amy explode into pile of happy sparkles.

Amy is so happy someone else reads the books she does. She's still working through Fortress of Owls, but loves everything CJ Cherryh.

Oh, yea. In case you can't tell, I'm Amy. I'm playing Yaten Kou/Sailor StarHealer from Sailor Moon. Nice to have you on board!

OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD. YOU READ CHERRYH?? You.. you've made me a very happy person. ;-; I say 'Cherryh' and people look at me like I'm nuts. The whole series is amazing, though I'll admit that I was just a teensy bit disappointed with Fortress of Ice, because it seemed as if she'd lost a little of her steam for the series. Plus, she went in a different direction than she hinted she would in the earlier novels. Fortress of Dragons is amazing, though, and I will TRY not to spoil you too much while I play Tristen here.

I also love her Faded Sun trilogy, and seriously thought about Duncan. But he would be hard to play, being mri now, and therefore.. not.. inclined to write anything. :x

Your first line is exactly what I thought when I saw your bio today.

Faded Sun is probably my fav of her work. Still, she's a hard read for me. I love her writing style, don't get me wrong, but I can't plow through her books like I can most others.

She's sort of like Tolkien, I think, in that you have to really sit down intending to read her, rather than say.. waiting for your lunch to arrive, or sitting in a waiting room. I will say this, though-- she's one of only three authors whose books I made sure to bring with me when I was assigned to Kadena. XD

Question 1: Who were the other two?

Question 2: Where the heck is Kadena?

Obert Skye, because I'm working on the Foo series, and Neil Gaiman, because I love Good Omens. :D

And Kadena is the Air Force base on Okinawa. (:

I am so excited about the new Coraline movie. :D

It's basically a tropical island, which is nice, but it's damn inconvenient trying to stay active in RPGs occasionally. XD;

I know! I still need to see it, but I think I'm getting dragged to Watchman instead this weekend.

It could be worse, when I was more active in Pern fandom, I knew I guy who kept having to go on hiatus because he was Navy and they kept getting shipped out to the Persian Gulf. As in, sit on the boat in the Gulf.

Welcome to the game! I'm Jen, the mod, and obviously we've spoken a bit through your application. However, let's go more in depth now, shall we?

I have Jareth, the one who decided to go all Matrix on people and use them as an energy source. Not that that's common knowledge, of course. But he is the King of this here Underground!

Second, there's Legolas (LOTR). He's fun, happy, and fairly easy going. He likes to sing and make gentle fun of people. He'll talk to and be friends with literally anyone. As long as they're not actually evil.

Okay, then we have Yuna (Final Fantasy). She's all serious and intense, very quiet, but will be sweet to people who talk to her. She's a little naive. She can summon big ass monsters to fight for her, and she heals as well.

Fourth, Gabrielle from Xena. She's kind of like... a female version of Legolas, actually. Freaky.

Lastly, Faith (Buffy). She's a bit of a cow, just a little unbalanced, but a kick ass fighter.

And that's the run down! I'm open for all sorts of plottage. As for PB, I'd suggest Ben Barnes but there's a Caspian on hold already. I'm drawing a blank for anyone else. You could do Elijah Wood, I suppose.

I love Jareth, and was very excited about a Labyrinth-based game. :D It was a fight to choose between Tristen and Toby, but Tristen won out this time.

And Yuna! Back in The Day (with capitals!) I used to play Braska to an adult Yuna. It was kind of sad, because he didn't get to see her grow up. ): Sadface.

I will be happy for plot! Tristen tends to take people by surprise when he looks like he's a kick-ass-take-names sort of person, but.. you find him actually feeding mice and like.. marveling over the colour of a leaf. Lol. He'd probably try the labyrinth just for the experience of it. :D

We all love Jareth! I mean, really! David Bowie!

Aww, that is sad!

Legolas would like him, then. I'm pretty sure he does both of the things you mentioned on a regular basis!

Dude, for srs. :x The man is amazing. Plus, he was willing to make a movie with sparkly hair, crystal balls, and extremely tight pants. What more could you ask for?

Tristen will find him amazing! After all, he's the only one he knows who's been alive for so long, so to find a person who's seen thousands of years pass by will make Tristen feel a little less alone, I think. .. Plus, I think the ears will completely surprise him. XD

Yes! So hot. And somehow manages to look badass despite said sparkly hair, crystal balls, and... mmmm tight pants!

Sounds good to me! His ears are awesome. Whenever I see the movies I want to touch them.

I know! It's ridiculous. It shouldn't be possible, and yet he does it. o_o

I usually want to braid his hair. :x And like.. put flowers in it. And then I remind myself that it would not be very badass for Legolas to run around with flowers in his hair.

Hah! I dunno, I bet Legolas would let you braid flowers into his hair. He is all nature loving and stuff. But he'd have to stop if Aragorn or Gimli were around. They'd make fun of him.

.. That would be fantastic. We need someone willing to braid flowers into Legolas' hair. :D

The funny thing is, since this Jareth was taken after the end of the original movie, he'll be shocked to see Toby as an adult, not a baby. Fun times.

We so do! We should try to get a volunteer!

Hi Exxie, I'm Ally. Welcome to the Laybrinth!

I'd be interested in those audio books, too. I listen to them at work and generally get through a book or five a week.

I have four characters: Xena, of course, from Xena: Warrior Princess. She's been described as a lunatic with lethal combat skills. But that was when she was persecuted by the Furies. Not an every day thing, thank goodness. I also have Giselle from Enchanted ([info]ever_ever_after). She's a bit of a nut. She talks to animals, has an unnecessary amount of optimism, and she sings at random moments. She can be annoying to some, but others love her. My next character is Robin of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves ([info]taylorwade). He's the steal-from-the-rich-to-give-to-the-poor type of guy. He's all noble and friendly and would probably get along well with Tristen. He likes his ale and he's kind of a genius at archery. Last, but not least, is Cathal from a book series called the Sevenwaters series (since there are technically four books) by Juliet Marillier ([info]otherworld_heir). He's kind of hard to get to know. His father is Mac Dara, the Lord of the Oak of the Tuatha De Dannan and he's been trying to get Cathal back to the Otherworld since he was seven. He's a great warrior but he's kind of rude and sarcastic most of the time.

I like your PB, personally, but I have a couple of other suggestions if you're interested: Arlen Khachatourians, Taylor Kitsch, Trent Ford, Charlie Cox, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gaspard Ulliel, Stephen Strait, Mika, Oliver Goodwill, Emile Hirsch, Alex Turner, Teddy Geiger, James Rosseau, Nicky Bryant and Tom Wisdom! Uh, make that several suggestions. Got a little carried away, sorry!

Thanks, Ally! Nice to meet you! :D

Sweet, I'll definitely try to get them to you asap. They're really worth the boring narrator. XD

I remember Xena from Back In The Day. I watched it along with Hercules, I think, though I don't remember getting past the first few seasons. I do recall thinking Xena and Gabrielle were a cute couple.
Tristen probably would get along well with Robin-- he'd probably find him fascinating. 8D
And rude and sarcastic doesn't bother Tristen at all! He's sort of used to it, actually, considering some of the people he knows.

Thank you so much! There are definitely some names there I'm not familiar with-- I'll check them out this afternoon, hopefully!
