It meant a lot that Jeremiah was here, willing to be here and willing to basically take care of her. She hadn't had anyone really do anything for her in a very long time. It felt good, nice...right. She wondered why she was so different with him, why her softer side decided to come out with him. She loved him, yes, she even remembered telling him that when she was sick..something that she was slightly embarrassed over. She hadn't meant to let the word slip. She had loved him years ago and seeing him again had brought forth a feeling she had thought had died a long time ago. Fortunately, she thought, feelings didn't simply just die.
Still, he had just came back and she was letting things slip when she probably shouldn't be.
"Brave and strong? I'm not sure that's even right," she replied back with a small laugh. "I feel so strange. This is so wrong. You know I haven't ate human food in....years with the exception of a hot wing not long ago. I just find it useless. But I suppose Rinth thought I needed to enjoy the things that humans do, or at least part of what they enjoy," she shook her head. She didn't mind eating the food, but she'd be glad to go back to drinking blood and being on schedule that she was normally on.
"That sounds wonderful," she nodded as he mentioned saving room for pie and siting out on the veranda, a soft smile tugging at her lips as she made herself slow down and let her taste buds explode with the flavor of the food.
Glancing at him from across the table, her eyes searching over him for any indication that he wasn't real, she couldn't help but let out a giggle. "I keep wondering if you are really here," she stated. "I mean, I know you are, but other times I wonder if Rinth is just playing another trick and giving me some deep want I had hidden away long ago." Happiness. Someone that could make her see the world differently.
