"You are," Jax chuckled back, though her next words had him gasping in dismay and placing hands over heart. "Ow, you wound me so," he pretended to wipe at a tear, only to laugh. He knew that if he was just 'average' that he didn't think she'd be with him right now. He had a feeling that it took something special to catch her attention and he prayed he had it.
If he was a smart man, he'd back away from Lily. She was human, would age quicker than he and die a long time before he would. Of course, he wasn't that smart and how could he let go of something that just came out of nowhere?
There was a look in her eyes, something that told him she was hungry but not exactly for food and he felt himself start to stiffen in his jeans. Nope, nope, nope! Not now. He wanted to see if this went further than just sex. "The wha..." he was momentarily distracted before he caught on to what she asked. "Oh, the pack, doing fairly well," he nodded. "A couple of people missing, though. Don't know what's going on with that," he sighed. "I've noticed we have had a few clients missing from the gym as well. How are your workout classes going?"
