“Why thank you.” Lily responded to Jax’s compliment with a grin, greedily taking in his quick stoplight kiss. Outside of the occasional kiss to her grandmother’s cheek or hugging one of her siblings, she had never been an affectionate person. Being with Jax made her feel different, though. There was something about him that made her want to break all of her own rules.
She had remained close during the drive through town and definitely didn’t fight when he pulled her into his lap once parked. She let out a giggle during the process, her hands coming up to rest on either side of his jaw while she met his lips with her own. It was difficult to control herself, her fingers itching to peel off at least one article of his clothing. She managed to keep herself wrangled in and generally behaved though, at least for the moment.
With his words, she smirked and rested her forehead against his. “I don’t know what took us so long.” Mischief flashed in her eyes as she pressed a delicate kiss to his lips, her teeth nipping playfully at his bottom lip next, then dipped her head then to press a kiss against his neck.
