Lily flashed Jax a mock serious look, his dismissal of the event having calmed her brief run in with anxiety. "She may have threatened your manhood." Her eyes shot down quickly to the area in question before her gaze traveled back up to his, the grin on her lips betraying her as she climbed into the passenger seat. "You never want to fall on the bad side of a gypsy, that's for sure."
Her hands traveled to rest in her lap, glancing around the interior of his truck. Had she been in here before? She couldn't recall. It was funny to her how the small details suddenly became more meaningful with the switch of a few emotions. She didn't care about his vehicle a year ago, but here she was now examining it like it would help her get to know him even better.
"What did you have in mind for dinner tonight?" She looked to her hands before looking up again with a smile.
