If asked, Jax would tell Tristan that Brian made a good alpha. He was fair, fun, laid back... Though, there were times when Jax thought the guy wasn't strict enough on certain things. Of course, being in Rinth there probably didn't need to be too strict a guideline, but... Jax was more stern is what it boiled down to.
To be fair, Brian and Jax equaled each other out. Where Brian lacked, Jax made up for and vice versa so maybe it was good Brian was the way he was.

You can try leaving, but the town won't let you. The only ones I've ever seen leave are humans, gifted humans and witches," he shrugged.
