Who: Andrew & Liliana
When: Week Thirteen; Wednesday Feb 25th – Evening
Where: Andrew’s home
Summary: Date #2
Warning: TBD
Instead of staying at the station and doing paperwork today, Andrew had talked his partner into doing it so he could get ready for his date with Liliana. He assumed it was a date, she had wanted to meet up at his place for movies or drinks or something; he said he’d grill some steaks and there was beer and he had gotten a couple of movies, too.
Getting to his cabin on the outside of town, nestled in a bit of trees, he’d taken a quick shower and changed into a fresh navy t-shirt and a pair of jeans. His thoughts drifted to Liliana as he started up the grill and prepared the steaks; not that he needed to prepare them much, he had had them soaking in his own special secret recipe of marinade since that morning. As the grill was heating made a salad and prepped some corn on the cob and some big potatoes to be put on the grill only placing them in when it was the right temperature. He had timed it just right that when Liliana arrived, that is if she were on time, he’d be tossing on the steaks and it all coming off the grill at the same time.
He leaned against the railing of his back porch deck, a beer in his hand and listened to the birds as they chirped to one another. His home was away from the town and though the town wasn’t that loud like a big city it was even quieter out here on his little piece of land that he owned. It suited him. It was the one thing he had bought, other than the beat up Ford Bronco that he drove, when he had come back to Rinth. The cabin had been rundown, in need of tender loving care which he had given it in the years he had owned it. It was small, just a two bedroom which one bedroom he’d turned into his office, but it was big enough to suit a single man. He always thought that if he ever married he would build on to it, but so far that hadn’t happened and he wasn’t sure it ever would.
Checking his watch, he moved to check the corn and baked potato on the grill; Liliana would be arriving soon, he thought.
