Fancy let Dr. Carre walk past an ahead of her a moment, smirking slightly. Fancy held a respectable amount of fear but not as much as most people. She often wondered why that was. Because she had "friends" within the Gestapo? Because she didn't care about the risks? She didn't know.
It was all a little freeing and a little disturbing at the same time. But Dr. Carre is quite right, regardless of how Fancy may justify it they had to be cautious.

Fancy began to lead them through the darkened streets of Paris, being cautious to avoid running into anyone. Once in a while she would hold out a hand to halt their progress for a moment till someone in another street passed out of view.
